I say this in jest, of course. Not the fault of the Russian people that Marx, Trotsky, Lenin, Stalin and the other Putins were foisted upon them.

The cold war was a hoax, a smokescreen, a lie. The governments of the east and west felt no hostility towards each other. It was simply a con trick to further the accumulation of wealth. You will find this very hard to believe, until you start to read between the lines. However, we are now in a position where Russia has a plentiful supply of oil and America is running out. There may well be another terrorist attack, which like 9/11 isn't investigated, which W blames upon the Russians; allowing him to start another war for oil.

Food = lots of boiled cabbages, potato soup, no meat and no Hershey Bars.

Booze = cheap vodka which tastes like rocket fuel which has gone off.

Work = 16 hours per day either in ten mile long factories or down the salt mines if you sneezed in public.

Weather = endless winter.

Entertainment = the ballet and opera

Sports = football, football, fooball, football, fooball.

There is no win/fail in cold war.It increases tensions and secret piling up of arms and destructive weapons.
