Is the all volunteer military enough? Would you let your son/daughter join the military at 17 years old? Are you for sending more troops to Iraq? Should we make two consecutive warless generations a national goal?

I have had a lack of direction pretty much up until now as to an idea of what I want to do when I get out of school. I am a sophmore in highschool and now I have some ideas. The problem is, up until now I have been slacking in my grades. If I turn them around and get straight A's from now through the two years at my local college, (yes I am capable of that), would I be able to get nominated for West Point?

Ok im currently serving in Iraq, and im going on leave in a week. During my RR im going to get married. Now i know that after i get married i need to apply for BAH, get my wife a military ID, a power of attorney, change my will. Can anyone name some other stuff that i need to do?

Anyone working for I CORP? This is very important. I am currently serving in iraq with 3rd brigade 2nd id. I have about 20 months until ETS and im thinking about reenlisting to stay in the army. My goal is to reclass and to request for I CORP to stay in Washington. Now i just heard this rumor that I CORP is leaving Fort Lewis, and letting 2nd ID take charge of the installation. Is this true?

Look at how godda-m stupid they are my hero soldiers they crave mccarthurs speech hit them where they aint. well believe it or not without media noting it or survivors they could be crawling out of a hole in the ground some troglodyte in the u.s using not bombs and guns for accoustics warning but a jesus i come in peace with a electric tazer in one hand and a bone saw in the other. How come they are so goddam stupid not to catch on and take off to try and find a china man in a mud hole and accuse him who never heard of america?

I am absolutly certian our military can accomplish any mission assigned to it, unfortunately, it doesn't appear anyone, the media, general population or leadership have a clear mission in the Middle East. Please, no opinon or religious bigotry, I am not concerned with Arab or Israeli political agenda, my only concern is American lives being lost or ruined by what appears to be theivery of oil.

According to the Defense Dept. the Army and Marine Corps are letting in more recruits with criminal records, including some with felony convictions, reflecting the increased pressure of five years of war and its mounting casualties. Won't there be the risk of increased rapes and needless killing, and bringing dishonor to the services?

Who would win a major war; US vs Russia, US vs China, US vs China AND Russia, Russia vs China. The best answer would be like US>Russia>China w/ an explanation (In your specific order). After 6 years, from 00 to 06, I've seperated from the military. I was in the Marines during the time and now that I'm back it's surreal. Sometimes I think it was a mistake I got out, but there are other things I'd like to achieve, it's just hard taking that first step. I would like to go back to school, or start my own business among other things. Right now all I tend to think about though is how my brothers are doing over there and I can't seem to get off my *** and get **** done. Anyone else recently seperated? Im sure there are. But just a little encouragment or advice would help. Thanks.

Let me explain something to you saying things "people in the military deserve to die for being stupid enough to serve" that is freedom of speech, freedom of speech is a right! "Those soldiers" give their life everyday protecting your right to say such hateful things!& everytime you abuse your rights as an American you are basically spitting on a soldiers grave!Protesting at a fallen soldiers funeral COME ON! They don't play the politics they just do their jobs! For those of you who are not even citizens..they are dying for your right to be in a free country! For you soldiers, my message to you is this...not everyone takes the rights that you are fighting & dying for so lightly. It makes me cry to know you are treated in this way..if I had one wish it would be that I could take all your hurt and pain away that you recieved protecting me. When I see a soldier I think of what you & your family has given up for me & I appreciate it. Please know that someone loves you and thanks you....

Its obviously going to happen; and w/ Iran and America's relations going as far down the sh!ter as possible, is it just a matter of time? How much time?

When you look at it, either Bush will find a way to attack Iran (Not bad mouthing him, America needs to attack), or the Israeli President will and America will come in to help Israel against Iran. Now Iran vs America and (and Britain will join right along w/ the US), not much of a war on Iran's side because it wouldnt be like Iraq; It'd be kill them and leave, not all this occupation sh!t. But who would come in for Iran?

The only possible MAJOR threats are China and Russia w/ N Korea and the Middle East as smaller threats. Like China's said, the US owes them too much money to wage war against them. But who ,in modern time, would have the balls to step up and fight w/ the Iranians against 3 militarial superpowers?
