hey everyone, my boyfriend had left for ft benning BCT about 3 weeks ago, and needless to say..i miss him a lot...
before he left he told me that he won't be able to write for a while because of the "total control" and/or "red phase" all BCT soldiers must go through..
but it's been...3 weeks? and i still haven't heard from him...i don't have his address because he was supposed to write to me from his barracks.
so has anyone graduately from ft benning recently? how long do the soldiers in BCT (FT BENNING) usually have to wait until they can write to their friends/family freely?
any help would be greatly appreciated.. =]

Source: He's a Marine sniper. ( Yes he is a great shot ) He could have gone to college but now he's a sniper. What kind of future is that? I'm ashamed of him.

I just graduated college but only took one semester of ROTC. I am going to basic and AIT soon. This will be 5 months total. If I want to be an officer, I will need to go to OCS, and then on to Officer training for my selected branch for a few more months.

Considering I am only in part time, is this going to be worth it in the long run?

and how so?

thanks

If you knew where he is, wouldn't your life be at risk? How would you collect the reward without getting killed?

I am a democratic liberal and yet i am beginning to see that perhaps President Bush may be right about this war and the need to attack Iran before they go nuclear. i have been reading up on Iran and they are a very proud warlike people that hate us and have been brainwashed for 25 years to say "death to america' as a official government policy.
I once read that Bush was really invading Afghanistan and Irag just to set up a base for the inevitable war with IRan.HE has not mentione dhtis lately but at one time they did speak of it. The real raget has been Iran all along. maybe his is right? that si what I am staring to think
IRan is the only country in the world that has not changed its border in 2000 years. They formerly had the great leader Cyrus( sic?) that was a very strong and wise military leader who ruled that whole regin for a long time.
This remind me of the third reich. they want to take over the middle east and dominate and we are in their way. I think they intend us harm

we nuked the japs after they attacked pearl harbor and they have behaved ever since. Sure USS Liberty was smaller scale than Pearl Harbor but same principle..an unprovoked attack on the US Navy by some fiendish nation.

the jew nation of isreal is the root of all world terror. had LBJ done the decent thing and nuked isreal there would be no terrorism today

at all?
U.S.pilots drop a big one on a British convoy. On British soldier was killed. Others were wounded. It happened about four years ago they tell us. Apparently, US military brass knew about the "mistake," exonerated the pilots involved, and life went on. No, four years later, the British (and the U.S. also) view a video and hear audio of conversation between the two Americans. The U.S. basically categorizes this "happening" under "oh well sh--t happens."
Except I wonder how many times this kind of "sh--t has happened" in this unwinnable war?--. And how many U.S. troops may have met the same or a similar fate, which fate was, and remains hidden.
(To wait four years is in and of itself suspicious. Why can't the U.S. simply come clean about 'mistakes'. rather than waiting years --- which only serves to confirm that they had something to hide...and that there may be many other incidents that they are hiding also.)
Any comments?

Are there like regular police and courts in Iraq for the people there? Like if someone steals a car, do the cops go looking for them, and take them to court?

With the successful designs of rail and coil-guns I can't help to think that this will be the end of the convential war we know it today.
What do you think?

With a gun that doesn't fire from gunpowder you get no..
Flash
Sound (minus the sonic boom)

No longer will firing give away your position.
Snipers could fire many, many shots without showing themselves.

Warfare will change, for the better? The worse?

Your thoughts.
