I am a democratic liberal and yet i am beginning to see that perhaps President Bush may be right about this war and the need to attack Iran before they go nuclear. i have been reading up on Iran and they are a very proud warlike people that hate us and have been brainwashed for 25 years to say "death to america' as a official government policy.
I once read that Bush was really invading Afghanistan and Irag just to set up a base for the inevitable war with IRan.HE has not mentione dhtis lately but at one time they did speak of it. The real raget has been Iran all along. maybe his is right? that si what I am staring to think
IRan is the only country in the world that has not changed its border in 2000 years. They formerly had the great leader Cyrus( sic?) that was a very strong and wise military leader who ruled that whole regin for a long time.
This remind me of the third reich. they want to take over the middle east and dominate and we are in their way. I think they intend us harm

no they dont. please stay liberal. lol

they dont intend to hurt us. plz i think ur just being paranoid. the last time a nuke was used was like 61 yrs ago. nobody is dum enough to do it again now that other countries are armed nuclearly. The only reason i see that iran would want a nuke is because of the primal need for self defense.

I like that u research. it shows u like to think 4 urself. and thats good. u also got the thing about iran being a proud people. you are right.. about the entire middle east. not just iran.

did u hear what Jacques Chirac said. that if iran had and used a short range nuke against Israel( to me israel represents the west) that tehran would be razed. coming from the french i wouldnt take that lightly.

you have no reason to be worried. even if the iranians threaten nuclear action. trust me. they wont carry it out.

they always say to look to the past for answers. and right now. im lookin at the cold war. nothing happened

peece :)

Diplomacy is the only way to go with Iran. The reason I say this, is because we don't have the resources to fight them, the insurgents in Iraq, and the Taliban in Afghanistan. We are already in two wars, and you want to start another one? Bush won't initiate war with Iran, because there are too many other countries that would take care of them Israel, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and a whole slew of other Middle Eastern countries have expressed dismay at Iran's current stance in the nuclear arms race. I actually think that Iran might listen to them.

And on another note, why has the US spent so much time making other countries disarm their nukes, and yet has never disarmed their own? Is this the example we set?

Iran is NOT a nice country, but invading Afghanistan and Iraq (both Iranian rivals) and taking out the Taleban and Saddam's Baathists, actually strengthened Iran's position.

Bush was 100% correct in invading Afghanistan. Time will tell if he was correct in invading Iraq (so far it's not looking good.) Iran knows that America won't support another war, so they have been emboldened and know American threats are hollow.

I pity the people of Israel if Iran gets the bomb . . .

perhaps you probably did not comprehend this yet, New Orleans knew the hurricane develop into coming and knew they were in for a significant disaster. although what you declare is different than what truly got here about. even as a hurricane strikes a state that is the states activity to make the necessary arrangements and damage alleviation after wards. Did Bush come deliver alleviation to Southern California in the course of the wildfires a pair months in the past? No. Why? by way of the undeniable fact that organic disaster is a state situation. similar with New Orleans. that is in common words after the State of Louisiana requested Bush for help a week later that he replied straight away with help. If some thing you need to be mad on the louisiana state authorities for no longer inquiring for help quicker to assist keep all those lives. Bush develop into only following protocol. do not blame him for some thing that develop into thoroughly out of his fingers.

You hit a couple of points right on the head. Iran is certainly the catalyst in the whole middle east problem. Take out Iran, and the whole middle east thing will calm down, but keep an eye on Syria, this is a bad boy too.

We have many targets in the Middle East.

We took Afghanistan because the Taliban harbored Al Qaeda

We took Iraq because we had to enforce the 17 unenforced resolutions from the UN.

We have no choice with Iran. They get a nuke and it is all over.

You should more than think Iran intends us harm. They have already told us their intentions.
