Source: USA military kicks in doors during their rounds in Iraq and scare each and every family they make contact with. The USA now knows there are no WMD in Iraq but still fights in Iraq. Iraq did not do 9-11. Iraq no threat to the USA but the military still kicks in doors. This tactic ( Kicking in doors of civilians ) did not work in Vietnam and it will not work in Iraq. North Korea and Iran are more dangerous so why not go there and kick in doors.

Since the initial invasion of the coalition forces into Iraq, I haven't really heard anything of the Kurds and their position on the current conflicts occuring there. We always hear about the Sunni and Shiite, but nothing on the Kurds. I would prefer answers from those that actually know. Thanks to those who serve in our armed forces, your job it tough and I give you praise and admiration for everything you do for us.

In WA state, while I was on vacation, Gov. Gregoire had to sign emergency legislation protecting the funerals of servicemembers who had died because anti-gay protesters where targetting military funerals. The military has always had a don't-ask don't-tell law about homosexuality. So why are they picking on military families?? Especially the suffering family members of deceased soldiers?? Isn't that cruel???

Compared to the perks of living OFF base too...give me some pro's and cons of both. Over all, which would you chose? Fiance and I are debating on which place to live...on or off.

The US has satellites that can see what your reading, yet their top-gun fighter pilots seem to only have high-altitude visuals to go on and air-controllers who go on information to where Allied units are supposed to be in an area....

Surely we have the technology to prevent or greatly reduce the possibility of friendly fire ? When our troops were shipping out for war.. I know some of them put strip of reflective tag on their arms.. but that is ridiculous in its hope of preventing FF and assists enemy too.

RFID ? If you used daily codes for Allied units in the field to transmit you'd want to make sure the codes weren't leaked to enemy.

Surely there has to be some practical, cost-effective solution ?

I'm writing a short paper on the korean war and I need some help, thanks. 2. Did US policies in anyway incourage or facilitate the outbreak of the Korean War? 3. What are the origins and motivations beind the North Korean attack? 4. what specifically would you have recommended for US action in Korea, how could you have expect it to impact relations with the USSR? 5. How is at all should long term US national policy toward the USSR change as a result of the Korean War? (I'm aware that the USSR no longer exisit). My assignment is to pretend that I'm in the 1950's.

Source: I heard that saying back in 1969 and I'm still waiting for the communist to walk down my street and kill me. Now in the year 2007 I hear "We have to fight them in Iraq so we don't have to fight them here". Why is that a false saying?

My reserve unit (mp unit) is relocating in September, from Florida to California. I heard that they may move us to an airborne unit. I thought only airborne personel or airborne qualified made up airborne units. Most of us are supply, mp, cooks, mechanics etc....

lol i doubt theyll send us to airborne school, that would be cool though
