certain felonies are waiverable as long as they are non-violent and they require an extensive waiver process.

Because they have as much of a right to die for this country as you do. I don't mind if some of our casualities are felons. Takes them out of our prisons. Gives them a chance to straighten up, and it gives our military more troops.
You wanna talk about honor? Why don't you take your honorable behind into a recruiters office?
My husband is an army soldier, and I, his wife, was convicted of a felony once when I was 16. Should I not be allowed on base because I'm a felon? It's a little different, I know, but still. Think before you talk. Some people make stupid, stupid mistakes. Some are truly sorry and want to turn their life around. Some actually do loves this nation and some actually do want to serve it.
So I don't see why it should be a problem. What's YOUR problem with it?

The military now can accept a convicted felon by granting him a special waiver. They are doing this because it is harder new recruits. Not all felons are admitted. Only some are given this chance to turn their life around. If this bothers you, why don't you join up so the military won't be so hard pressed for new soldiers.

If CNN told you to jump off a bridge would you do so? It would seem that if I heard something like this, I'd check with U S Military recruiters for the facts, you can find them in the Government section of your phone book.

Felons got in under false pretenses and when they are found out they are court Marshaled and then thrown into prison(military first then civilian) but i got some counter questions. Why are there child molesters in our schools? why are felons out on the streets?

well what good use to put a prisoner in jail when he or she is ready to change and wants to do something right this time. Or maybe serving a life sentence and maybe just get shot over there without rotting in jail for there lifetime.

Because felons are all the United States can get to enforce their illegal wars. Lets face it, Americas youth are smarter than they used to be. Maybe they have learned something from Vietnam, either way it's going to take allot more money to get America's youth to go overseas to strike fear in the people of the Middle East!
