Communism proved itself to be a poor economic system - the markets you mention in your question are leaning further and further toward capitalism and private ownership of the means of production.
This is a damned good, first step in establishing other aspects of a democratic type government.

It seems the ultimate best way to defeat a communist government is to just let them wallow in their financial cess pools while the free market countries play music on their IPods and watch HD television.

You have to know what communism is before you know if we beat it...We were at war with the economic system of communism (state ownership of goods), not the dictatorship of communism.

Capitalism supports a free market (which includes making a profit at the expense of cheap laborers).

The communist country citizens are content to work for low wages, so companies settle there and can produce more and make a better profit.

Huh?

What war are you talking about?

The "Cold War" was "won" because the Russian economy collapsed. However, that the "Communists" have vaninshed is good where I'm concerned, although there is some negatives as well, as in almost any solution.

As for why your goods are made where they are, it's 'cause the labour costs are cheaper there, and the economies of the nations in question are growing and taking up a larger percentage of the world economy. Basic economics.

Communism was pushed by capitalist as an extended arm of government control. The idea of communism has never been put into place because the ones who have used it or using it has integrated government controlled capitalism. I don't see the people of China reaping the benefits of all those goods, nor do I see Americans reaping benefits of our capitalist society, because they are both just different adaptations of capitalism.

We were never fighting against "communism" in this country.
If all your goods come from China, that's your fault. You DO have a choice. Buy American made stuff! Check the label before you buy!
