at all?
U.S.pilots drop a big one on a British convoy. On British soldier was killed. Others were wounded. It happened about four years ago they tell us. Apparently, US military brass knew about the "mistake," exonerated the pilots involved, and life went on. No, four years later, the British (and the U.S. also) view a video and hear audio of conversation between the two Americans. The U.S. basically categorizes this "happening" under "oh well sh--t happens."
Except I wonder how many times this kind of "sh--t has happened" in this unwinnable war?--. And how many U.S. troops may have met the same or a similar fate, which fate was, and remains hidden.
(To wait four years is in and of itself suspicious. Why can't the U.S. simply come clean about 'mistakes'. rather than waiting years --- which only serves to confirm that they had something to hide...and that there may be many other incidents that they are hiding also.)
Any comments?

This 'matter' was covered by the United Kingdom. NOT the United States.

also that football player that turned down the NFL got smoked by "friendly fire", which the government covered up, its all an effort to spin that the war is going as planned. when in fact, it almost never does

Because this is the truth.

In this case the British lost track of where their own forces were and told those pilots that there were no friendly forces in the area. Somebody in a British command post made a simple error in plotting locations on a map and somebody died as a result.

People make mistakes. In combat people are tired, rushed and stressed - so they are even more likely to make mistakes. Most of the time the mistake is discovered in time to prevent a tragedy - just not this time.

The worst thing that can happen here is that instead of pointing fingers and trying to blame the US for a British error - they should be fixing the procedures that caused this.

Int he Gulf war an almost identical incident occurred. An American pilot was told by a British command post that no friendly forces were in the area and as a result several British soldiers died. Apparently - instead of evaluating what went wrong and correcting their procedures - the British choose to blame the Americans.

The result? Another dead British soldier - killed by the same error as last time.

If you do a simple intenet seach, you will see that this incident was in ALL the major media after it happened.

It was reported in US media, it was reported in the GNN, BBC and the Guardian back in 2003.

some cover up !!!!!

It has been in the media since then as the inquiry has gone foward, the British MOD has been in posession of the tape since 2003.

It seems to be that the British for some reason want these USAF pilots hung for an accident.

But of the British on British friendly fire incidents:

Sergeant Steven Roberts, 2nd Royal Tank Regiment 24 March 2003

Cpl Stephen Allbutt and Trooper David Clarke Queen's Royal Lancers, March 25, 2003.

There was no prosecution.

Its obvious that you have never been in combat or you would understand how that sort of thing happens. It is unfortunate and sad, but it is a fact of war.
