I'm joining the Army, and I'm trying to decide on an MOS. I've got it narrowed down to two: 68W (Health Care Specialist/ Combat Medic), and 11B (Infantry). What do you all think?

I would prefer answers from people who have been, or are currently in the Military.

My brother in law is thinking about the Navy, he wants to become a MA but someone told him you need to be at a certain rank before he can do that. If so, are there certain jobs that would help him in the meantime until he was able to try to become a MA? Thanks for any info in advance.

My wife wants to join the Air Force, but has her reservations about doing so, but she keeps telling others that i'm the one holding her back, when in fact i'm the one supporting her in her choices. Is she saying this because she really doesn't want to go?

When I say we I mean western countries. Israel has not had a major terrorist attack as the us has. There have been lots of small ones but they keep the muslims at bay.

This question is more about taking a life and less about war being justified or not.

No future considerations
Pros would include, no Saddam, Kurds aren't being gassed
Cons would be, US deaths, death squads

after weighting in the pros and cons, is Iraq off today, better off that we invaded?

I think that the U.S. has not been attacked again since 9/11/2001 is the fact that right now in Iraq the insurgents have the approval of America's liberal society to kill American G.I.s ans civilians. But if they attacked us on U.S. soil then American society would turn against them.I hope there will never be an attack here again.Does anyone agree? It is the same way as with the Vietnam war.We were not defeated in Vietnam,we were defeated here in the U.S. does anyone agree with me?

I mean stuff like the Geneva Convention and all these "rules" that countries are supposed to agree upon during a war. When you're getting shot at and your life is on the line, don't these rules go out the window? War has been known to unleash the most psychotic aspects from people. They're not going to follow rules!

In actuality, the British, Australians, Canadians, French, and especially the Soviets, had fought the hardest battles and done most of the dirty work before the American men chose to get off their fat, lazy arses and do something.

Same thing in the First World War -- the USA only entered after they saw that our side was winning. Then the bastards had the cheek to say they won the war! Tossers!!

I am currently a fulltime freshman student at a big University. I am an average student at best, and school has never really been my thing. Since my senior year of high school I have thought about joining the military. One of the main reasons is for the dicipline and mental toughness it would bring me. If I did this I would go back to school after, hopefully with a new appreciation for getting my degree and working hard.
I still don't have a major and have no idea what I want to do in life. I have an athletic backround and love the idea of being able to use that in the military. I know in the end its up to me, but I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks.

My son is incarcerated for selling drugs. bad choice I know. He is an x marine, Since we're at war, I think we should allow inmates that are not convicted of violent crimes to re-enter the Military, serve the amount of their sentences protecting our Country. If they serve their terms without incidentm the Criminal History be removed and they could return as productive Americans and support their families through getting good jobs instead of their Families being on Welfare. I bet many of them would make the Military a Carreer. Why can't this happen???? Our Country needs more Troops.
