I am getting married this spring but he's stationed 10 hours away. How do we go about getting transfered to where I am?

He's in the Corp and I'm willing to move where ever need be. I was a military brat growing up. I know how it can be.

Did you ask him if he wants to transfer to another base?
Since this a spring wedding and spring is close , I will figure you aren't in the military.
He will have to put in a request of transfer, list some locations he would like and then the military will decide what fits within the military's needs of his occupation , rank , etc...
He could even be transferred across the country or overseas. Always remember ,the military's needs come first.
Don't set your heart on him coming to you- better be prepared to stay where you are or follow him.
If that isn't even an option to you - I don't see much hope for you as a military wife.

He has to go to his chain of command and request a transfer. Being married and having a spouse at the other base may not be criteria enough for the transfer, more than likely it would have to be along the lines of his MOS and the need for him!

He could fill out the appropriate paperwork, but as a military spouse, you must be willing to go wherever the Army moves your husband. I know it's hard, but that's just how it is. Good luck.

Put in a request for a transfer. Possibly talk to your RNCO (not sure if thats what you have on the active duty side...)

he has to request spousal co location after you are married. But there's no guarentee that he will get the same base.. I believe the distance is 300 miles that they consider co located.
