In actuality, the British, Australians, Canadians, French, and especially the Soviets, had fought the hardest battles and done most of the dirty work before the American men chose to get off their fat, lazy arses and do something.

Same thing in the First World War -- the USA only entered after they saw that our side was winning. Then the bastards had the cheek to say they won the war! Tossers!!

The americans want to end everything with their own profits.

Yet again the Americans think they are the saviours of the world, where were they in 1939? 1940? they ONLY joined because of Pearl Harbour if the Japanese hadn't bombed they would NEVER have joined us. The thing that really makes me laugh is their interpretation of the war in films, Saving Private Ryan for example you would have thought they went to Normandy alone whereas my Grandfather was one of the first in France at Pegasus Bridge before ANY Americans set foot in France. Then the film U571 where they say they captured the U boat and the Enigma machine whereas it was us Brits. The problem is that American youth think they are the saviours of the world because of these films and never read the history behind them. They even tried to say that an American pilot saved Britain in the Battle of Britain and Tom Cruise was going to play this bloke and was found that he wasn't even a pilot! Idiots!

I think to answer the question they say they saved W europe in WW2 because it all came together relativly quickly after their intervention, they did in general look after us very well & I for one am greatfull. They sent their young men to the other side of the world to help us liberate an occupied Europe.Yes some uneducated & Hollywood influenced yanks might think this but the truth is we couldnt have done it without them.I object to the way you talk about the yanks if you doubt their contribution to WW2 I suggest you go to coleville in Normandy where you will find just behind Omaha beach 10,000 white marble crosses in one of many U.S millitary cemitaries you will find accross Europe. The way you talk of these young men is shamefull.I dont know you but im willing to bet that you have never acted as honouraby as the young men of the U.S armed forces 1942-45.

We saved western europe from the Soviets, if there was no Normandy invasion or theatre bombing by the 8th Air force, the iron curtain would've reached the Atlantic....so you're part right, the Soviets did fight the hardest and biggest battles against the Hitlerites, but the allies, the US & the Brits saved europe....

To be fair, yes we did do most of the work to start with while america supplyed us with weapons etc which we did pay for. The americans did fight some tough battles though like the battle of the bulge.

I dont think they were our saviours. It just would had taken us longer. It does annoy me when they say "yea we saved your asses in WW2, when truth be told we did more than them end of story!

because the Americans make the movies so they aren't going to make any about the truth, and the general population is too stupid to think for themselves and question anything.
