The person that came with the idea of using "crazy string" to spot trip wires on explosives was, from what I've read, an american G.I.
Was he given a cash bonus or a medal for his idea. He deserves both.

The democratic mode is slow and corrupt. There are many supporters but there is a need for organisation. Any help?

OK, I just want everybodys opinion on this. Yes the Brits are a highly celebrated and disiplined force. One of the best in the world. The US military is a young military, although if you ask anyone with any military knowledge, they will agree that the US military is the most feared in the world right now becuase of thier force projection. However, when the brits and americans team up, there isn't a objective that can't be siezed and held. So my hats off to both militaries. Rock on!

ARMY ALL THE WAY!

I read on http://usmilitary.about.com/od/navy/l/blsubfaq.htm that the only men on submarines are the ones who volunteered for sub duty. Is it true that if your in the Navy, you don't have to go in a sub unless you volunteer? That sounds very unusual to me. I would think it be tough to find that many volunteers, especially if its for something like nuke where they have essential jobs for submarines. Does anyone have any first-hand experiance with this?
