Find out the laws in the state concerning residency, some only require 30 days while others 3 years or acquistion of voting privelages. Find out and submit a 4187 to have it changed on you LES

You will need a valid mailing address and proof of residency such as utility bills or a state tax return. You can also get tags for your POV and register to vote.

Changing your home of record is a bit more of a challenge.

All you really need is an address or United States Post Office box. Active soldiers and sailors, don't have to change their driver's license from their home state.
