Does anyone know anything about it? How long do I have to be in the Navy before I can switch over?

A classic example is Pat Tillman! Shot by "friendly fire". Read the article below and just rest assured this sort of thing happens a whole lot more than we ever hear about.

Be certain to pay close attention to details about how a dead Humvee was slowing down the rest of the platoon from carrying out other operations that someone had needlessly placed a "rush" on. And even after Tillman's platoon was split in 2, him and his half still had that Humvee strapping them down. So one can just Imagine what happened! Also don't be shocked if some of the people who spoke to AP just up & vanish!

I've often wondered just WHO our military 'thinks' they are! I mean if they want an enlistee to be subjected to a dangerous chemical, and that causes the person to suffer until they die, all the military has to do is DENY they are responsible and that lets them off the hook. Isn't that convenient?? Who granted them such rights?

Can someone give me a link or summarize how a spouse can attend college on base? Ive heard they can do it on base, but is it w/ mediocure teachers and w/ very limited classes..Also how much does it cost?..Like I said..A link would be great, but if you can answer all those questions thats fine too..Thanks alot

I just bought the book "Flags of our Fathers", but I once read part of another book about Iwo Jima and I really liked it, but I can't remember the title or the author. My uncle died there and today is Veteran's Day, which reminded me of this.

I was shown today a link on the web to the atrocities of 9/11. Cold blooded murder as was London with no regard for our lives. But instead of it being a simple terrorist attack it seem there was gain to be had. In a world where we live can anyone really prosper thru terrorism and if so has the lease owner of the world trade towers become the first.? I am truly disturbed by what i have seen as it leads me to believe innocent people were killed by falling the towers or using controlled explosions to "pull the towers".
Is the reality of terrorism a way of making a good few quid/dollar the new way of making ourselves financially secure. It is sourced that the towers were insured against terrorist attack 3 months prior. I want not to open wounds nor cause conflict just find out peoples views to these theories.

Typically,
Insurgents in Iraq have AK-47s.
American soldiers have M4A1s (like M16 but more compact and with auto fire mode).

Say,
You stood two fully trained, professional Special Forces troops (lets say SAS) up on a firing range.
600 metres downrange there are two real men, both in kevlar-149 jackets and kevlar helmets and combat gear and all.

The SAS guy with the M4A1 sets his sights to 600 metres, puts his fire mode to single, and lies down and takes a shot at the face of one of the targets.
The other SAS guy with the AK-47 does the same against the second target. (except hes using an AK-47).

How effective in hitting the target (the face of the enemies downrange) would the AK-47 and M4A1 be?
And if they differ in accuracy and effectiveness, why?
And if they both manage to kill the targets in one shot, then why is it so difficult for Iraqi insurgents to do the same?

Ok i know US government hate communists, but that doesnt mean they should go marching into other countries conflict and fight to prove they are great when all they do is get their **** kicked...look back to Vietnam...USA marched in, US public werent botherd, but when they knew they couldnt win and they werent winning the US public realised they werent going to win, exactly the same in Iraq now! USA government should stop trying to solve other countires conflicts and sort out their own on home soil. Gangs murders etc. Let other countires sort it out themselves. Their problem...not anyone elses.

Ok we know US army is the biggest in the world, that USA is one of the richest countries in the world. That it is big economacially, but US government needs a brain...someone who would care about their own country and their own people. Aswell as help out in Africa etc. but without taking an army in! UK army is much smarter than US...but US is bigger so they dont care. Tell me your views...

Let them do a tour of duty. If this isn't a good idea to you, what do you think should be done with them?
Maybe they should train to become a soldier the first prison visit.
And if they turn up at the prison gates a second time, then they are sent to fight for their country.

i was wondering why heroin production is up even though the american military is there? is this another smokescreen for the american so called war on drugs scam? they bring in the heroin and create the system of economy. like jails,police, judges,courts,lawyers,rehabs,funeral parlors,aids,hepititis...am i seeing something here?i heard a few years ago....there has never been a war on drugs it is americas economy designed by the c.i.a. and implemented by reagans administration.
