I'm not a soldier and never was, but I'd like to thank the soldiers right now. We (USA) have an all volunteer military. You guys and gals are the greatest for stepping up to protect us.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Unfortunately there are always going to be some people that aren't supportive, but I believe it's mostly because of what is happening in Iraq, not the soldiers. I think the majority are very supportive of our soldiers and what they are "trying" to do.

One can never be thankful enough. And YES! We in America Do take these, our citizen warriors for granted...Every day! Our basic freedom and everyday lives go on because of their Outstanding efforts. As much as I hate to agree with a democrat...every American youth should at least go through boot-camp and hopefully grasp the concept of duty and honor our service personnel
live on a daily basis.

No and Yes unfortunately.
I think the problem is that most people alive today have no memory of WWII.
People who think we lost a lot of lives in Iraq should crack open a history book.

Yes we are thankful for them being brave enough to fight for country and Queen. But war and fighting is horrible, not at all fun and games. Have you ever shot someone? Would you like to watch them die as you shoot them, its not nice at all war, taking peoples lives. So yes iam thankful they are prepared to serve and protect their own country men and women.

See, a president who wages unjust wars -- like LBJ or W -- dilutes our appreciation of their very real contribution. That's a pity, too.
