Dr. Delight gave the correct answer. Israel controls the U.S. government, and that is why the U.S. government consistently acts in Israel's interests. It's not a matter of alliance; if it were, the alliance would have been terminated on 8 June 1967, when Israel attacked the USS Liberty. Rather, Israel and the international banks and the mass media are controlled by Zionists who manage their respective assets in concert with each other.
The minions of Zionism have the power to wreck national economies, to instigate wars, to destroy political careers, and to assassinate politicians. Your federal legislators aren't afraid of the tobacco lobby or the cotton lobby. But they are very afraid of the Zionist lobby. That's why Israel can kill whoever it wants with little excuse and expect the U.S. government to support them.
You should not confuse the U.S. government with the American people. The American people merely show up on election day to cast useless votes for either of two candidates whom the Zionists have pretty much pre-approved. Many Americans DON'T like what Israel does, but they don't have the political leverage necessary to change the situation.

It is actually a very complex question and one with only a certain degree of exaggeration in it.
Basically, the easy answer is: Because they have the backing of the US White House.
But why do they have this backing? That is a tough one - the US does lots of trade with Muslim lands and has many Muslims in it too.
But by coincidence, each recent White House Administration has chosen to have a particular relationship with Jewish lobby groups and the government in Israel, because they feel like they have taken over custody of a dependant child.
They do not dare think of the possible consequences of withdrawing this support, especially not while they are making good money from all the military toys they sell to Israel.
But one day this relationship may shift (just as there is more money to be made by being friends with China rather than Taiwan). And then it will be down to the EU alone (or an unlikely ally from elsewhere or Israel's secret nuclear deterrent) to decide whether anybody should halt an invasion by the neighbours who hate them.
And I would say that semi-recent trends prove that by this day, it will be too late (luckily) anyway, and nobody will want to invade Israel to liberate it for the benefit of the remnants of the Palestinians any more. Those days are long gone, and the two-state solution days are approaching instead.

So, you claim that it is impossible to miss a target by 500-600 m simply because you have "good weapons"?
And what expertise do you have on the subject?
And also wondering, do you deny Israel's claim that they were fighting terrorists? In other words, there were no rocket launchers in the area, no shooting at Israeli troops no nothing?
Let me ask you, what are the rules of engagement the govern other militaries? Do you think Israel follows the same guidelines or not?
Basically, as it stands, you probably don't care a lick whether innocent civilians got killed vs. a case where only terrorists got killed. You'd still be ragging on Israel anyways.

Israel was created by the U.S. after WW II. To admit that a mistake was made is not in the vocabulary of Washington D.C.
There are too many members of congress who have close ties to Israel to admit the truth and perform accordingly.

The leaders of our country do believe they are doing god's good work and supporting the great people of our nation. Unfortunately, when it comes to support and protection, it boils down to money and oil. Without oil, our country will go into such a tragic economic collapse that few people in our 1st world country can even imagine it. However, just because we want to help protect our own kind doesn't give us an excuse to take over other countries. We would be fighting for our right to ride in SUV's and buy wasteful products. That is not a cause worth supporting.

Muslims pretty much killed support for their cause with 9/11 and 7/7 and the Madrid train bombings and the Mumbai bombings and the latest terror plot arrests in London, sorry mate.
You can't expect to kill people and make them feel sympathy for you. Yes its a way to draw attention to your cause and bully a government, but the killing of civillians just pisses people off and makes them less likely to support you (The IRA found this)
I'm not American but after seeing Palestinians danicng in the streets over 9/11 was pretty disgusted and to be honest my sympathies lie more with Israel. They suffered horribly in WWII and are not the ones trying to blow us up now. I can't forgive muslims for 7/7. Makes me far less likely to sympathise with them. Muslim in general seem very warlike and respond to any threat or perceived threat with violence it seems, the Israelis are defending themselves as is their right. Palestinians have killed enough civillian Israelis by blowing up buses etc.

Well, the US claims it can kill whoever it wants without any excuse or legal justification, so there is not really much cause for complaint.
As far as Israel, they don't start wars. They respond to being attacked. And yes, often there are civilian casualties during these conflicts. That's part of the nature of warfare. It's tragic, but inevitable.

I think you have the wrong category. You should have posted this under the General- Politics and Government Category, not in the military one. Try re-posting.
