Why do people seem to think that nuclear weapons are the absolute best solutions for every international problem? I am a conservative who absolutely believes in the American decision to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki but this is ridiculous. Do you realize how much our economy would be hurt by dropping a nuke on one of the world's major oil producing regions? And then the international isolation we would experience as other nations put sanctions on us? You, and everyone who answered in the affirmative that this is a good idea is a moron.

The problem with dropping a nuclear bomb on Al-Queda is that this terrorist organisation is not in any one place, it is a global phenomenon. To carry out your threat, you would therefore have to bomb just about every city on the planet earth.

Quite apart from the initial devastation this would cause, all life on the earth would die during the ensuing possible nuclear winter. Than includes you.

Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Problem solved? Think again. Iran, Syria, and other oil-producing Middle East countries will undoubtedly cut off oil sales to U.S. Gas prices will skyrocket, and our economy will suffer. Outraged Muslims will join the extremist Jihad movement in alarmingly large numbers. Expect terror attacks on U.S. soil almost every week. The radiation from a nuke may spread to as far as Israel, a firm U.S. ally. A nuke isn't the solution, and only a fool would think it is.

No, we won't. Simple as that.
No, we won't. Can you possibly imagine the fallout for slaughtering civilians in Iraq? And where is al-Qaeda that we can bomb them? Isn't that the nature of the problem?

I doubt if we would ever do anything like that. Remember the Rules of Enagaement?
I have a feeling, anyway somebody will probably beat us to it. With all this nuclear talk lately, this whole world is in dire danger.

Yeah right

The politically correct groupies would nail us to the proverbial cross. That might kill an "innocent " bystander.

Wrong answer. That will not solve anything. We need to sit across the table and talk to these people. Instead of threatening one another, only more will die.
