I've been eyeing "Why We Fight," and I've realized...if the continued existence of our country, our government, our society depends on the constant engaging of imperialistic war...what happens when that engaging stops? What happens when our government desists from invading another country just for the hell of it, under false, patriotic or falsely patriotic pretenses?

Okay i got a wonderful bf whom is in the army and he doesnt get out till 4 more yrs from now. But he wants to get out now for we are planning on getting married and all......is there any way i can help him get out w/o him having to claim he is gay or a druggy? and if he can buy his contract out.......how much does it cost? please someone with knowing or a lil knowing of this help me out!!!

The real reason is that his parents have neglected and bullied him to the point where he cant stand the idea of staying with them a minute longer then he has to. With bad grades in high school, he feels his options are limited. What do you think? Is the military (right now) a good choice for him? He is intelligent, but very uneducated.

I'm an American Citizen and I'm physically, mentally,and psychologically prepared for the special forces. I want to learn how to survive on my own anywhere in the world whether it be the congo or the bronx. I want to be in the most physically challenging special forces groups.I want to have a plethera of weapon knowledge and navigational skills and military vehicle knowledge. I want to be able to be sent anywhere in the world.I need help to find out which special forces group will be the best to achieve these goals. I want only serious answers and I am open to criticism. Its unfortunate that noncombatants are killed during wars. But some countries target civilians, adult and children, intentionally. Besides the Russian-made PFM-1, "toy-mine", Does anyone know of anything other mines designed to kill children.

boot camp and after? I noticed also there is a sign up bonus and I didn't know if that is used for personal or tuition, etc.? I want to know what it's all about and what I can expect. And too, if you can get your GED with them and when....before boot camp or after or just whenever. Thanks so much for any info.

I think it is just plain silly that the news glorifys this man to such a higher extent than any other soldier who has been killed. Dont get me wrong i still consider it a terrible loss, but there are thousands of other soldiers that have died that people barley even acknowledge. How is this in anyway fair to the men and women we have lost?
