I am doing AFROTC in college, and am planning to go into the Pararescue Corps. The military as a whole values technical degrees (think physics, engineering), but theres not really any degrees that would help you in the special forces. Even if you minored in demolition or something like that, it would be totally different in the military.

Do what you're good at and enjoy, and spend the rest of your focus in getting into shape. That's the best that you can do to get ready.

The Military has no particular Bachelor's Degree that they "prefer". What they look for is intelligence, discipline, perseverence, and dedication

For a Special Forces officer or soldier, I would think that a degree (and fluency) in certain languages would be VERY helpful... as much as Engineering, Sociology, Psycology, History, or Economics.

The Military provides their soldiers/sailors/airmen with the knowledge they will NEED to meet training requirements and to complete their mission. I certainly trained MANY who knew nothing on the subjects of math, acoustics, sonar, and physics to be FINE Anti-Submarine Warfare Operators and ASW Tactical Officers.

I was a Naval Aircrewman, and my BETTER pilots had degrees in History, Art, Economics, or Music ! I finished MY BA in History, and my Masters in World Strategic Studies.

As my father used to say "A bachelors merely proves that you can LEARN and do research."

Spanish is allways needed. We seem to always have people in South America. Especially with that nit wit in Venezuela. We had troops in Peru and Bolivia in the sixtys. Bet you didn't know that!

It really doesn't matter...... it centers on having the think out of the box attutide. Sure any degree is helpful, business for organization, chemistry for demo, etc. but it really centers on as I said being able to just look and appreciate the world openly. History covers all of this.
