If you're a female soldier, then you would wear your formal (dress) uniform. If you're a civilian, a nice formal ballgown (a long gown, not one of the short ones a lot of teens wear to proms) will do the job. Have fun!

Floor length evening gown. This is always the best thing to wear when attending any formal military event. Men will either wear Mess Dress or Class A so the ladies wear a formal dress. This also makes it to where the ladies are more complimented by what the men are wearing, and by the men themselves. Also keeps the other wives and girlfriends from talking bad about you.

You can get an idea of what to wear by the uniform requirements for the Military attendees. If dress blues or whites are required than it is a formal affair like a prom. If the service uniform is appropriate than you can dress down a bit. However you should always dress tastefully and never wear sports or casual attire to a Military Ball of any kind.

You wear a formal gown... I like to think that since it's a ball.. that means it's like Cinderella stuff! LoL! It's similar to prom, but a lot more meaningful and classy. Go all out with your gown, shoes, evening bag, hair, makeup, etc!!! Have fun!

Formal/Evening attire is pretty much standard for this kind of event. If you are Active Duty, contact the Protocol Officer. If you are a guest, your date should be able to get you the information. If you are a dependent, ask another dependent wife.
Either way, The men will be wearing the military equivalent to a tuxedo. Please chose something that will compliment your date. Also chose something that will compliment you, not make you or your date a "target".

An evening gown. Im going to ours here at ftcampbell, christmas formal is what we call it...that is if my husband makes it home from overseas by then.
Get dressed up and have a ball!

You wear a nice evening gown. Yes, I guess you could call it prom-ish. It is really fun. My brother is a Major in the US Army and he and his wife go every year. She always goes and picks out a beautiful evening gown to wear to it.

If you are a military member, wear your dress uniform. If not, just a evening gown or prom type dress will work. Have a great time!!!!!

I were to many protection force balls and also you may want to placed on soemthing like a suitable gown. imagine of it as a promenade sorta. yet flow for a dismal color gown. adult adult males will placed on matches or tuxes, and different females will be dressing formal. solid success.

Places like Dillards always have some on clearance.
The ladies here don't wear floor length - not sure if that is 'normal' or not.
