John McCain and the ranking general in Iraq have both said there needs to be many more troops sent to Iraq before the situation will improve. I'm doubtful about that...but that's not the question. Where will these thousands more troops come from? Do they think they can recruit new ones that fast? Or will they come from the bases we have in Germany, Japan and everywhere else we have troops stationed? Then why didn't they do that before? Why take reservists and National Guard before taking army and marine troops we already have?

This looks like another case of Republicans honoring those who served our country in words and not dollars.

The great majority of US Veterans are charged $8.00 for a prescription. Wal*Mart is charging $4.00.

I started liking this pistol. But I only own the airsoft replica.

Someday, I will save enough money to buy a real one ( I will go for the .40 s&w USP).

Can you share your real-life shooting experiences with the USP?

Is the gun accurate enough? Reliable?

What are the likes and the dislikes you experienced? And most importantly, what caliber is yours?

I am the mother of a US Army soldier that just got out of advanced training. My son just got his orders and will be going to Fort Carson, CO. I am so thankful that he will be here in the US, but had done as I was told early on by his recruiter and prepared myself for Iraq. I was just wondering how the Army determines what bases to send the soldiers to. Everyone else within his unit got sent to Germany or Korea. It was only he and one other that got to stay within our borders. How do the bases differ with regards to what they have in mind for my son?

My husband has to get waivers for me, his wife, and his step-daughter and his daughter to go into the Navy. Why is this? And what exactly does the waiver do? His daughter does not live with us nor does he have any custody of her. We have visitation every other weekend and one overnight per week. Any info will be helpful. Thanks.

I saw an earlier question about a young man wanting to join the service that has not yet graduated and probably won't from high school. My question is; and can probably be answered from someone in recruiting is.

Do they accept these recruits? Do they require the completion of a GED program while in training and are they discharged if they do not acquire this status?

Sorry I know it's three questions in one but it's all relevant.

I am doing a school speech assignment, and my topic is about why “why women should be in the Navy Seals” so could you guys help me out and give me some reasons why we should be able to?! Cant women do anything men can do?! There are a lot of women out there that want to be in the Seals, but no one will let them. Just because girls have their time of the month doesnt mean that they cant be in the Seals. I read all of the forums on this but nothing helped me, and also, I wouldn’t like any reasons why we shouldn’t be in it, b/c I already have plenty…..so please help me out. Thanks!

Daily we see the justification issue played out by both sides in an endless he said/she said tirade. It has reached the point where it is impossible to have a civilized discussion on the matter. If you support the war for whatever reason your opinion is unjustified to one side. If you are against the war for whatever reason it is unjustified to the other side. The point I am making is that it doesn't matter at this point whether we were justified or not. The fact is that we did invade and we have to proceed on that basis. What purpose is served by this constant sniping on the issue? The real questions at this point are, How are we going to get out of Iraq? and What will the majority of people consider an as acceptible outcome?

a few marines turned up in a chat room, since i hve never seen marines on active duty in iraq in chat rooms nor have the other chatters, they didn't believe them. so they got on cam, showing thier uniforms, rifles, helmets. but since i know quite a bot about the military i asked them to show me the bullet proof vest that all soldiers in iraq wear, they came out with an excuse that their cam dont work any more. were they real soldiers from iraq and if you could tell me if they are allowed to come on the net as i think its breaching military rules. one other thing, thier rifles were just to shiney very shiney does that mean anything ? so were they real soldiers serveing in iraq?
