Every weapon ever made has been used. And will be used again, this is human nature. It is sheer madness, but it is fact that we all must accept. Now think of the weapons that we built that have not yet been used, and then you have gone beyond insanity to a perception and understanding that cannot even be imagiened. Truth is it exists. And it will one day be used. again.
Do I fear it, of couse I dont, that would be a waste of time and emotion.
The human race will ultimately destroy itself, this is a fact that is so obvious that it is amuzeing to watch others save and plan for a future that will never exist.
Am I a pessimist, not really, I am a realist.
800 years ago we were told the world is flat, and they believed it.
100 years ago we were told the this war would be the war to end all wars, and we believed it.
50 years ago we were told that the president was shot by a lone assasin with a bolt action rifle that made 3 kill shots in 12 seconds on a moveing target from 300yrds away, and we believed it.
Now the president is telling me that there will be peace and terrorism will end, what will I believe next.

i agree with sandy... weapons that are made are usually at some point or another used. nuclear weapons and many others we don't know about will be used.
worry about it no.
people will always survive, perhaps not many, but they will, and i may be one of them... i may not. i can't sit around worry about it, or i will waste the time i have today to enjoy what i do have.
i think that it is highly possible and will start in the middle east... i think it will start next year infact... if bush gets the all clear for 20,000 more troops in iraq, which he will.
the threats are all there on the table regarding iran and their nuclear program, and military posturing is now happening. now it is a question of the US having pieces in place, israel attacking,US and UK backing it up and then SURPRISE! iran do have nuclear capability bombs, and lob one over the fence, or the friends in pakistan do the job for them....
iran would not be stocking the flames this much if they didn't already have a few tucked away somewhere.... they seem to be very confident.
once this kicks off, russia will come to the aid of iran and all hell breaks loose. as for n.korea - whilst this goes on, they may go at japan, who has no bomb, and china for taiwan..... well anyway, there are so many scenarios there doesn't take much imagination to work them out. an actual nuclear bomb i don't think will go off at the beginning. iran et al will wait for US and israeli forces to be committed and stuck... perhaps israel, stuck in iran, will use it first for a quicker end, provoking all other countries to get involved?... who knows.
hold on tight it's gonna be a bumpy ride!!!

obtainable--i'm afraid i'm such as you, in that i've got not got a tendency to be demanding. Why get an ulcer over something i will't replace? even with the indisputable fact that, i think of there's a real threat for nuclear war transforming into between the Koreas on the 2d. all of us understand the North has nuclear weapons and that they have threatened the south heavily on the subject of using them. And the guy that makes those judgements is a authorized loony--an exceedingly undesirable mixture in my humble opinion.

Is this question really necessary? A nuclear war would mean an end to everything. A better question are you going to die? Nobody knows the answer to that question. Of course your going to die, I'm going to die, anyone whom reads this is going to die. The only true answer should be "World wide agreement not to develop or use nuclear weapons" That's going to be hard to get.

Its more of a "doomsday device" situation. When two nuclear countries are are war, they know if they drop a nuke, the other will. It's kind of a if you destroy us, we destroy you. For two countries that are somewhat grounded, neither of them will go nuclear. But if a rogue state or crazy government (see N Korea) decides to drop nukes, then it will get complicated.

the third world war has already started slowly it will escalate
the bomb may well be use if one of the rouge states of Islam gets their hands on it which is very unfortunate for the good states of
Islam because they will all be tared with the same brush as will the rest of the world thru Islams eyes

Very very low.

The unstable countries developing nukes may light one off, or sell to some group that will light one off.

If that happens, we will destroy whatever country was responsible. Probably not with nukes, but with traditional methods.
