BAGHDAD, Iraq (Nov. 23) - Sunni Muslim insurgents blew up five car bombs and fired mortars into Baghdad's largest Shiite district Thursday, killing at least 161 people and wounding 257 in a dramatic attack that sent the U.S. ambassador racing to meet with Iraqi leaders in an effort to contain the growing sectarian war.

Shiite mortar teams quickly retaliated, firing 10 shells at Sunni Islam's most important shrine in Baghdad, badly damaging the Abu Hanifa mosque and killing one person. Eight more rounds slammed down near the offices of the Association of Muslim Scholars, the top Sunni Muslim organization in Iraq, setting nearby houses on fire.

Two other mortar barrages on Sunni neighborhoods in west Baghdad killed nine and wounded 21, police said late Thursday.

I am not an extremely strong runner, but I can go at a relatively slow pace for quite a while. I did play basketball in high school (not to say that boot camp will be like basketball practice). Push ups I struggle with, but sit ups I'm pretty solid at. If I'm able to do these things, should I be able to make it through boot camp? Any details would be greatly appreciated. If I am in the ariforce for 4 years as a cryptologic linguist...What do you estimate to be the amnt. of money i would hvae earned by the time the 4 years was up..??

i got my b/f a build a bear for christmas and it looks pretty badazz. he's in iraq right now. my guy friends said not to send it cause he wont like it and he will get laughed at. i know some guys would like it and others wont but why cant a guy just say "hey ***** my g/f got me a bear and urs didn't hahaha" instead of "OMG what was she thinking?" im in a bad mood now cause i wanted him to have something cool and instead i feel like a failure since i can't even think of anything nice to give him....:(

No doubt the new model will be 10 times more destructive. I just hope the Iraneans and N.Koreans do not start thinking they also are entitled to a deterrent. Only countries which are not threatened militarily have this right.

Under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Agrement the other countries undertook not to develop nuclear weapons and in exchange we undertook gradually to reduce our own, until they are eliminated completely. Fair is fair. But of course, we did not set a time for ourselves and there are stories that our representatives came out of the room with a smirk under their moustache.

Now some of those small countries are getting ideas of equal rights! All men are created equal !...., What next?

People do not seem to know their place any longer. Why, the other day a non-descript ex colonial approached to speak to me and did not even pull his forelock. Do you see my point?

why are there so many people on here bad mouthing our troops? we can only do so much in iraq, we do have rules of engagement...but of course what does that matter...my husband doesnt get a chance to "fight", he's wondering which car he drives by is going to take him out, not an iraqi. but as you sit at your computer desk, typing your insults...my husband and thousands of other soldiers are patrolling the streets so you have the right to do it.

It seems to me that the "best army in the world" is only good at raping iraqi girls and stealing oil. you would think the U.S (Useless Soldiers) could have prevented the horrible attacks that happened today in Iraq. Iraq was better off with Saddam in power.

If your husband is in the military and he hits you what can you do? First of all it's not me. I know you can call the police but should you call the Military Police, or his superior officer? Anybody ever delt with this before? The guy is in the Navy. Oh, and he's bi-sexual, can we get him in trouble for that too?
