I've served in Iraq and am now in Afghanistan. I can easily say I'm not a rapist. Is your statement was to be true then everyone in the world is a rapist. I high school students rapes a girl so all high school students are rapist? University? Politicians? Sewer workers? Most people serving in the military don't think all muslims are terrorist. I would with muslims everyday. Most muslims hate the terrorist worse than we do. I don't know of anyone who thinks all Muslims are terrorists. Certainly the American government doesn't... why else would we spend so much time and effort trying to help out friendly Islamic nations like Egypt, Morocco, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Jordan? We help Saudi Arabia and Kuwait because we need their oil, we help Pakistan and Uzbekistan because we need their help in the Afghan War, and we help Egypt because it would be a terrible thing for the whole world if Islamic extremists managed to topple the government... but we help those other countries because we like them and their people.

America has a large Islamic community, and the quality of life for Muslims in a lot of places here is better than it is anywhere in Europe or Asia.

Thinking that Americans think "ALL muslims are terrorists" is a misconception that's fed by those with something to gain from turning the U.S. vs. al Qaeda war into an Islam vs. Everybody Else war. As a general rule, that means pro-Caliphate jihadists of the bin Laden persuasion, Arab/Persian/South Asian politicians who need to distract their people from their own suffering, conservative Christian demogogues, and distortionist news outlets (like al Jazeera and, to a lesser extent, Fox News).

Have you ever noticed that these people don't just say that about Americans? They also tell you that all Christians, all Jews, all Europeans, all Catholics, all Hindus, all Chinese, all Japanese, and all Russians hate Islam. They want you to believe you are a target, because you will then see anyone on "your side" - in other words, them - as your ally. And you will shut out any outside thought, and read only their books and watch only their television and go only to their websites. When you interact with non-Muslims, you will be suspicious of them, and they will in turn be suspicious of you. And you will learn to hate non-Muslims.

The more people who fall into this vicious cycle, the easier it will be for our OWN extremists (the Jerry Falwells and the Franklin Grahams) to seduce ignorant Americans into their snares.

The jihadis will win. The Christian fundamentalists will win. And the news channels will win. We will all lose.

Maybe it's because you didn't see Americans dancing in the streets and throwing huge celebrations when the sick SOB's you call troops raped people but we sure saw a lot of Muslims celebrating the deaths of 3,000 people in New York as the result of an organized conspiracy carried out by Muslim mass murderers. Nobody thinks ALL Muslims are terrorist or that they condone in any way the acts of the terrorist. But, what is missing is the Muslim community standing up and against the cowardly acts of the few that do them in the name of Allah.

As a Christian, I am disgusted by the deeds of so-called Christians when they are contrary to Christian beliefs. God knows we have our share of them. But you do not hear of Christians and many other religions claiming that the wrongful deeds they commit are in the name of their God. They just happen to be believers of the Christian faith that have done wrong.

Because there is no public outcry from the Muslim leadership condemning and stopping the terrorism. It goes on every day. If one of our troops ( isolated incident)does something wrong then he or she is brought down and is punished. Besides they are not all terrorists ( Muslims) just most of them. Get the picture?
