It seems to me that the "best army in the world" is only good at raping iraqi girls and stealing oil. you would think the U.S (Useless Soldiers) could have prevented the horrible attacks that happened today in Iraq. Iraq was better off with Saddam in power.

The reason we can't stop the violence in Iraq is, we have forgotten the lessons from Viet Nam. Until the American people understand that war is only win-able with and all out effort You cannot fight a war that has a goal limited goal and come out a winner. We must put about 350,000 troop in theater and rules that allows them to occupy the country, not act as referees for the waring parties. That means enough troops and rules of engagement that says shoot anyone with a gun that doesn't surrender at once when confronted.

I served two tours in Vietnam and I never raped or murdered, burnt villages or ravaged the country side. I never witnessed any of these things. But since John Kerry said I did, the left wing radicals believed I did. Isn't the same thing happening now? Kerry is still at it and John Murtha is joining in and the main stream media is reporting the myths and neglecting the truth. To answer your question: the fix in Iraq has to be political, not military. If you want a military solution then step aside and let the military do their job.

when fighting a regular army with a uniform we would dominate. but when they take off their uniform and fade into the population then you cant just identify them. if they had a uniform and didn't act like cowards the insurgency would be over. we could end it now but that would involve killing everyone in Iraq. and our soldiers as a whole don't rape and we aren't steeling oil, we are paying for it. if we wanted oil we could do it so much more easily. we are also trying to let the weak government start to grow into its job, so it is not completely our fault, but based off your last comment you aren't looking for an answer.

Wow, it seems that all you can do is pick out one isolated incident and blow it out of proportion.

Truly, the only way for you to get your answer, is to join and go over there yourself, but somehow, I don't think you have it in you.

To give you my answer, think about it this way. Ever seen a police force try to quell a riot? Its difficult. The US Military abides by rules of engagement, rules that were designed during the Geneva convention, that most countries have agreed upon, such as not targetting civilians. Unfortunately, terrorists and rebels, they didn't agree to these rules, and thereby do not follow them. They know the rules, that is shown in their methods of using them against us. Such as stationing their troops near civilian centers, putting anti-aircraft guns on hospitals.

I know none of that will make sense to you, because you are just another crackpot who thinks they know everything about the US Military. So, I will sign off, you go back to living in your mom and dad's basement, eating bags of cheeto's, drinking 2 liters of Mountain Dew and watching reruns of the X-Files. Good luck, Mulder.

No military, not even the US military, can stop the sectarian violence in Iraq. If the troops get involve, whose side will they be for? It is a sectarian violence as well as a civil war. In fact, I myself, believe that the US and the coalitions just pull back a bit and let the civil war end itself.

They don't want us there. Iraq and all the countries in that region know what the west has done to them the past 100 years. And yes, a lot fewer people died under Saddam's rule. America's story is to invade and occupy a third world country, install a dictator of there choice, and as long as the money keeps flowing to the west, he can do what ever he wants. This time it went array, so they took him out.

of direction there'll. If the U. S. leaves Iraq till now the Iraqi government is in a position to stand on it rather is very own 2 ft and defend itself with sufficient protection forces to defend it rather is very own borders and defend inner regulation and order, the unconventional Muslim terrorist communities, which comprise Al Qaeda, will flow into the vacuum and initiate removing all people who tried to form the secular government throughout the time of the U. S. occupation. in addition they are going to get rid of all people who might oppose them. The combating in Iraq is approximately radical Islamists attempting to stay away from the effectual employer of a democratic, secular government in the midsection of the midsection East. this type of element could desire to unfold the concepts of freedom throughout the time of the area. i don't recognize the place to procure YOUR counsel approximately Vietnam, inspite of the undeniable fact that it rather is of course a bunch of rubbish. After the U. S. withdrawal, the South Vietnamese have been in the present day defeated via the North, and ALL South Vietnamese government officers and militia workers who weren't in a position to flee, from nationwide government point right down to village chiefs and elders, have been the two positioned into camps for years of "rehabilitation" and slave exertions or have been murdered outright. human beings tried, and a few succeeded, in escaping Vietnam via boat for years after the autumn of the South Vietnamese government. examine your history and additionally you will additionally locate out that it became the North Vietnamese communists that sponsored the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia with hands and components, no longer the U.S. The North Vietnamese did no longer turn against them till the Khmer Rouge became "too effectual" in the eyes of the Vietnamese and have been recognized as a hazard to the protection of Vietnam. via the time of the Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia and the autumn of the Khmer Rouge, hundreds of thousands of Cambodians were murdered in the attempt to get rid of all who could oppose the regime of Pol Pot.

Go outside tomorrow. Find a nice grassy place and lie down on your back. Listen real well, 'cause there are enemies all around. If a bug crawls up on you without you knowing it, well then, you'll know how hard it is to see the bad guys in Iraq before they see you. And boom, you're dead.
