Try something better by sending a small package of what soldier needs such personal hygien items, writing material, a pair of sox.

Depending on how involved you would like to get, there are organizations that do this sort of thing. Here is the one I am using to send stockings over to our soldiers:

I just did this thing called Adopt-A-Soldier, it is really great. You are assigned a soldier and you send them care packages and letters.
