A military member who smokes marijuana must be processed for separation and receive NJP. Depending on years of service, the person may or may be separated. If the person, however, smokes marijuana for the express purpose of getting separated, that is a different charge and the person will be court-martialed.

yes, you can be discharged. however, alot depends on what type of commander you have and if you did it once and got busted or if you are habitually breaking the law. some commanders have no tolerance for drug users and alcoholics and others are willing to give you a second chance.

Nope, not anymore. Sorry. You will be reduced of rank and have lots of extra duty and article 15. Trust me, that is not a way out of the military anymore.

I think it depends on your court martial. You could be punished with severe rank reduction and / or pay cut.
