i can give you some examples of what i've sent to my hubby, first of all i sent him off with an xbox 360....games, ipod, he insisted on ramen noodles (have no clue), sports illustrated, twin sheet set, comforter, pictures in frames, made him a yearly calendar with our pictures on each month, bath supplies, dvd's, coffee, plastic bowls/utensils, hopefully you don't have to replace his wedding ring like i do....he lost it the 1st week there taking off his gloves....new DC boots, shirts, socks, foot powder....i think that's about it. i also had the kids in my sons class make him cards or write letters to him and his soldiers, they really get a kick out of reading 'em. i wish your hubby well, good luck to ya, stay strong and don't forget to smile ( even if its fake, lol )

Small items are good that can be carried in a knapsack or pockets. We send my son a lot of snacks - sunflower seeds, popcorn, and sugarless gum. He has a laptop, so I send DVD's and cd's. Magazines and small games are also good. Of course constant letters are the very best as news from home is most welcome. I am also thinking about sending my son a harmonica because I was reading about how over centuries many soldiers have taught themselves to play and it can easily be carried in the pocket.

Send DVD's and lots of them,we trade them with each other, makes the time go by with something to take your mind off of where you are. Box set of shows are the best. But really anything you send is great, just getting a package is like Xmas every time.

If he doesn't have one, send him a PSP with some movies and games. Maybe some magazines he really likes and some of your homemade cookies. Is this for Christmas?
