If I were to enlist in the 92-day reservist program (during the summer of my junior year in college), and go to bootcamp that summer, and apply for OCS the next summer, After I finish OCS, does that mean I will become an active duty Officer, and no longer a Marine Reservist? Can any of you elaborate on how the program works? Thanks a lot for all your help!
-Katie

.or was all of the killing of civilians and destruction of infrastructure for nothing. Or maybe it wasn't really for nothing after all...since Israel needed a 'testing' site for her American-made and supplied weapons.

Just curious.

I don't understand why we had to nail Clinton to a wall because he lied about getting some side action, yet Bush lied about the war in Iraq (Bin Laden who?). Just because Bill used his weapon of mass destruction, doesn't mean Bush had to invent one. Anyone who watches Springer knows that people in Arkansas lie about cheating. It's like busting Tommy Chong for pot or calling out Britney Spears for being white trash(she did kiss a forty-something year old lady on stage). But to wage a war with absolutely no idea of what they'd do after they captured the cowardly lion, now that's something I can't stop thinking about. Why is someone still commander in chief after he stuck our troops in the middle of a wasteland and drew a target on their backs? Who fights like that? John Wayne? I'll just stand here in this apache burial ground and draw them out. Someone explain this.

Our youth is out of control. It used to be that either you went to college or you went in the military. Now it's either college or the gangs. Get them off the streets! Every person aged 16 through 21 should either be in school or in the military. This would fix the country.

This girl I know, lived there and she said it snowed . However, my aunt who has lived in Arizona from 30+ years says that is doesn't snow there. Another thing that gets me is our chior is going to Puerto Rico in March 2007 and she says she can't go because she doesn't have a "green card", but to my understanding if your parent is in the military and live on the military base then you are an American Citizen, no matter where you were born... So, she she lying??

He states he is all for the war. How can anyone be so crazy as to believe in a war we can't win. All people with half a brain knows we will not and can not win in Iraq. I'm thinking about knocking some sense into his head. ( Note: He's stationed at a military base in Michigan )

Does anyone know how to write to the wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital? I had a cousin there and thought it would be nice to show some support to those who have no family when they need it most. I have looked everywhere and cannot find exactly what I am looking for.

take for instance that movie 'jarhead'.
it is based on a true story, on the book,
and it shows examples of how the girlfriends and wives of the military men, cheat on them. while these guys fight bravely for our country, these women cheat on them with lousy men from the neighborhood. why do they do this? why are women so cruel?
but it seems very rare for the guy to cheat on their wives, because for a lot of them, the wives are the very thing that keeps them going over there. that keeps them sane.
why are women so cruel....just ain't right.

Have a referendum in Iraq.

If the Iraqi people want foreign troops in Iraq, then America's repetation in the world would improve. Also, some would-be terrorist might change their mind. Why go to Iraq to save it from the U.S. if Iraqis actually want the U.S. there?

If America loses, then America will have to tuck it's tail between it's legs and leave. However, this is probably the best exit for getting out of Iraq this decade. Leaving Iraq without a referendem and without stopping the violence would be much worse. It would show that America values the lives of it's soldier more than it values the future of Iraq. If America left Iraq after a referendem, then the world would respect America's commitment to democracy (listening to the Iraqi people).
