You will have to wait 45 days before you can retest, if it is your first test. A year if it's a second test. (Unless the Recruiting Battalion Commander waives the waiting period.)

Personally, I think you should stop using marijauna now, wait a month, and then go test.

The recruiter should test you before you go to MEPS. Then they work with you, and test you every week to see if the levels go down. If they are a good recruiter, then they will not let you go to MEPS until you piss clean. But you need to be honest and up front, because if they find something out later, not only will you not get in the Army, you could be held legally responsible for lying to a goverment official.

You would NOT be permanently disqualified, however, you would not be accepted and would be eligible in approximately 1-2 years. I'm not sure.

Any crime involving moral turpitude is a lot more serious than testing postive for weed and would definitely disqualify you for life.

I feel qualified to answer this as I did piss hot my first time for MEPS(for the Army). I had to wait 6 months to retest and get a waiver from a Major. Trust me it doesn't affect your security clearance. I've had mine for 7 years since then. I did get a letter of reprimand placed in my 201 file though, that kills any chance of being promoted past E-7.

They dont let you sign up. Go clean. Also, have clean piss when you get to basic training, they do testing then too. One guy in my flight in basic got busted for having weed in his piss. Having smoked weed will not keep you from getting any type of clearence. Just be honest when they ask you.

You won't be able to enlist for a certain period of time. Don't go if you know you are going to fail. Tell your recruiter and just wait. And then stop being an idiot and get off the drugs.

It takes some time to process all the samples and it will catch up to you in basic or boot camp most likely. You will be pulled aside, taken back to your barracks and watched while you pack your stuff. You will be on the next available transport home.

It depends on your enlistment status. If you're already enlisted, it could lead to legal action. If you're in the process of enlisting, ya might be invited to resubmit the U.A. False positives DO happen. But are rare.

Let's just say they won't give you a commission as a 2nd lieutenant.

Why don't you just go find out? Nothing bad is going to happen to you if you show up and do what you're told.
