I have had two personal encounters with the protesters. At Fort Campbell we have a monthly service for the soldiers our division has lost the month before. They have shown up twice and I have protested them twice. Simply standing outside with the flag and attending the service was enough for me.
Those people are sick honestly. They go simple to cause conflict in hopes of stirring up a fight so they can later sue you and use the money for their "church". A church os 27 people who are all related... and we call that a "church"? They want to protest our funerals, the funerals of men and women serving so they have the right to protest, because the military is pro-homosexuals. Have they never heard of "Don't Ask Don't Tell?" Those people are horrible!
It was very sad to witness a 5 year old outside with a sign that said "You're All Going To Hell". A 5 year old! Get real!

Just because you go to a Military funeral does not mean you support war. You are there because war took a loved one. You are paying your respects. Saying goodbye and supporting other loved ones of the deceased.

Well said Gray_2610 ! Whether you support the war or not is irrelevant to whether you should pay your respects to our fallen service men and women, at the very least, you should not disgrace yourself by trying to make a funeral service a protest. Walk a mile in thier shoes before you spout off all that political bullshit, maybe then you would understand. If you can't walk that mile, then maybe you should remain silent.

I do not like any type of funeral. As a minister they are very sad and seeing the family of those who have lost a loved one through war is sad.

Although it is horrible when a service man/woman dies, its amazing how much pride and perfection an honor guard detail puts into their final respects for a fallen comorade. Let it be a WWII vet that died of natural causes or a marine who died in Jalalabad, witnessing a military funeral is something that makes me proud to be in the military, and want to fight just that much more for what that person helped to preserve.

I know! Those buttheads. There are protestors that go to military funerals all the time, and yell out really rude things to the families and stuff like, "They deserved to die!" They should all be shot. Give some respect for those who fought for our country, ya know? Damn anti-war protestors.

No One likes a funeral,However I servied 3 Years active Army 5 years Army Reserve and have been a DOD Employee for the past 17 years working on jet aircraft. yes it is sad that we are burying so many young men and women,But all of us who have served knew that when the time came we might have to lay our lives for our country, right or wrong we all swore to defend the Constiution of the United States and to obey the order of the President,no matter who it was.As a Vet.I am entitled to a burial,My wife passed away a few months ago and is buried at the national cemetary here in Texas and when my time comes I to will be buried there. Her dad who was a WW II Vet Is Buried about 100 Feet away as he passed away about 2 years ,When I hear the Firing of the Military Salute and hear the sound of Taps I swell with pride and turn to salute these fallen heros knowing they did not die in vain but gave there lives for you and me,so that we can continue to enjoy or freedom.Good or bad we live in one of the greatest countries in the world so that people can ask dumb questions and to have any opinion and to belive as they wish.

Well, I just gave you cudos for your last question. I'm taking them all back now. Cancer patients must like hospitals and radiation therapy. They go all the time.
You have reached an all time low here. Sell your computer and then chop off all your fingers so you won't be tempted to type stupid moronic stuff like this anymore. Then move to Kansas and join the Westboro Baptist Church. They could use another man of your wisdom, logic and caliber.
