-Navy promotions are not necessarily slower. It depends upon where you are and how much effort you put in

GM training is A School followed by some serious OJT.

Yes they have enlistment bonuses and reenlistment bonuses

Deployments can sometimes be quite lengthy. 10 months or longer are not unusual but I would say 6 months would be average

-Choose your rate, choose your fate. there are some ratings where you can advance quite quickly, and there are others where somebody has to die first. and sometimes, both scenarios are true for the same rating!.

- A school after Boot Camp, followed by possibly a C school or Hitting the Fleet and OJT.

- some ratings do have bonuses, but you have to qualifiy for them.

Ships deploy for anywhere from 4-9 months at a time. but there are also times when the individual can be deployed.. and that cna be for a year or more. Aviation squadrons also deploy, weeks and months at a time.

army fastest-marines- navy -air force that order.
By 20 year mark they all even out.

air force and navy tend to be more specialized in training skills-knowledge rather than action skills-

gunners mate--marines-

all services have re-up bonus= higher the skill need- higher the bonus payed--
deployments are to varied to list and aren't engraved in stone.

Less ships less deployments- all naval jobs don't equal deployment.

navy and air force are excellent travel ops.
choose your job speciality wisely... you will want skill that you can apply in civilian life....not many demands for big gun shooters.
