Have a referendum in Iraq.

If the Iraqi people want foreign troops in Iraq, then America's repetation in the world would improve. Also, some would-be terrorist might change their mind. Why go to Iraq to save it from the U.S. if Iraqis actually want the U.S. there?

If America loses, then America will have to tuck it's tail between it's legs and leave. However, this is probably the best exit for getting out of Iraq this decade. Leaving Iraq without a referendem and without stopping the violence would be much worse. It would show that America values the lives of it's soldier more than it values the future of Iraq. If America left Iraq after a referendem, then the world would respect America's commitment to democracy (listening to the Iraqi people).

You have obviously never been to Iraq and spoken to the average Iraqi citizen.I spent 18 months in Iraq and spoke with Iraqi citizens in Baghdad, Taji, Tiktit, Mosul. Ur, Kirkuk and FOB Speicher. And the vast majority appreciate that we are over there.

I would bet that you are completely ignorant or mis-informed about alot of things the troops and contractor have done there.

During the passed 3 years we and the Iraqi's (when they weren't threatened with death by the terrorists) rebuilt over 250 school and 100 hospitals and medical clinics. We also re-built many of their water treatment plants (remember when the bad guys detonated a bomb at the opening of a new treatment plant killing 50 women and children?) and we continue to rebuild their roads and bridges.

And apparently you don't know very much about the current Iraqi government. They don't need a referendum. The agreement we have with the Iraqi government is simple. All they have to do is ask or tell us to leave and and we would be required to load up and leave.

Why do you think this hasn't happened? Also your comment about America tucking it's tail....is insulting to every soldier that is serving today or who has ever served. And it is insulting to their families. But what else can anyone expect from some one like you who enjoys the fredooms they have but earned by those willing to defend those freedoms.

Stop believing everything you see on TV and go speak with someone who has actually been there.

How typical......

hmm thats a challenging one... one million. im with the guy above me, get the iraqi military up and working. the sole situation is that the iraqi military and police play the two facets of the fence, the 2d we bypass away hell will destroy lose... corrupt bastards. 2. placed a end to all of this politically splendid ROE "policies of engagement" crap. If a motor vehicle is following convoys amassing intel, shoot em. Iraqi military in basic terms takes place to be close to by utilising whilst a IED in basic terms so takes place to be in the splendid place on the splendid time? Shoot them! 3. I surely dont think of there is one, the sole lifelike concept i'm able to arise with that has a huge gamble in hell of working is. stay there for yet another 15-twenty years untill those sons and daughters that adore us and prefer us exchange into men and girls able to rendering a civilized society.

Why are you so eager for us to leave Iraq? Why don't you ask for us to leave the former Yugoslavia? We've been there for eleven years after Slick Willie committed forces there, and then couldn't pull them out. He had promised that we would be out by the next Christmas, but then things took on a life of their own....

Iraq has a democratically elected government. The Ministries are headed by all three major ethnic groups. The US would leave if asked by that gov't.

..I like it..But change one thing..

Since alot of the Iraqis are brainwashed into thinking American Soldeirs are terrorist and the "bad guys", The majority of them would vote for us to leave even if they need our help..

So I say have the new Iraqi Government vote (Idk how its set up but if its like ours) have Congress vote whether America can leave or not

With all the hate and misrepresentation everywhere -- I am afraid we are only beginning to see the losses to the U.S. and world that may occur. No matter how you look at this, we got a bad thing going and the Democrats are no help either.
