I thought it was really cool. The USS George Bush.

I can already see the liberals chimping out and bashing their keyboards in impotent rage. HAHAHA

I know it is the Father, He is still President Bush. Guess some folks need a civics/politics lesson.

It's called USS George H W Bush (Snr)

Named after the first president Bush, aka "Daddy Bush" (a navy pilot and ww2 vet), not current president George W Bush.

Of all the ships named for politicians, this is the most fitting.

It is entirely appropriate that Bush Sr., a decorated naval aviator during the Second World War, is honored with this. It is doubly gratifying to know that the Navy can still fund the production of capital ships.

It will be highly amusing to see the confusion arise from the idiots who believe the current incumbent is the one whose name is on that fine ship. I guess middle names like "Herbert" don't get recognized when myopia is irreversible.

As soon as I seen the question, I thought a liberal was trying to bash over something silly just for the sake of criticizing. They will bash him somehow.

The carrier is named after the ELDER George Bush - not the boy-chimp in the oval office at present. The elder Bush has my respect, if not my agreement; the younger just makes me shake my head and sigh.
