Does anyone know how to write to the wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital? I had a cousin there and thought it would be nice to show some support to those who have no family when they need it most. I have looked everywhere and cannot find exactly what I am looking for.

Because of worries about people sending Anthrax and other such nasties to our soldiers, the government stopped all Anonymous mail programs such as "Any Soldier" around the time we invaded Afghanistan. So there's no way you can write to ANY US soldier unless you know his or her name.

You might consider calling Walter Reed and talking to the chaplain's office, tell them what you would like to do, and see if they can either give you the name of a soldier who would like to hear from you, or perhaps start some sort of program for such things.

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to send letters and packages entitled "Any Soldier" because of so many biological attack worried and fears. Therefore, I would suggest contacting Walter Reed themself and ask what program they have for you to send soldiers letters.

We had a local guy from TN get badly hurt out of Fort Hood, he is there and they had to start a specific PO Box for him because the hospital couldn't handle the amount of letters he got a day. So I know the program does exsist!

Below is a website that gives several links to help not only injured soldiers, but soldiers abroad. Injured and serving:

If you don't know what to say then don't write! And don't ask anyone over the internet for help because their not you! Be real and put yourself in their shoe's.
