hi, this is the second time I ask about this, sorry, I've decided to say some more things about this and why I'm concern.Since we first met he never told me about him doing anything like this, we planned a very different life for both of us, I LOVE HIM but this seems to break everything we wanted , now it seems like it's just about him and what he wants, what about us together and what we'd decided since the beggining of our relationship? This is making me think that he doesn't love me anymore and wants to run away from me somehow, that's not fear for me.He might love this country and me too but what about our family...our plans,etc...WE'VE JUST LOST OUR FIRST CHILD...I thought that a "man" makes himself and takes responsabilities with his life, his family at first ..., and not joining the military, ok,this might help but if he doesn't make it with his own life and his own family how is he going to make it joining the air force?some advice, suggestions and own experiences, please.

I just had a baby 2 months ago, and I need to drop 20 lbs. I used to be in the Navy, and we did all kinds of exercises. What can you tell me to do to drop the weight.

If it was to liberate the iraqi's, then why not go into Cuba and do the same or into Liberia or some place of the like?

The fact is that i can see all kind of criticism because they have the worst army - but still some complain that they didn't come to get killed in Iraq with us

Please be logical!
We don't need their help if they are so bad - or some got angry because they didn't like the reason for which we invaded iraq

I have narrowed it down to 7 MOS possibilities. I have based these MOS's on my education, ASVAB and my prior experience. Also with the jobs that offer the student loan repayment program. The MOS's are 31s/25p (Microwave sys. Maint), 31r/25q (multichannel sys. oper), 25s (satelite comm maint), 33w (military intel sys maint), 94d (air traffic control equip repairer), 94L(avionics comm repairer) and 94m (radar repairer). The description of each seems as if I wouldnt mind doing them for the time in length that I am enlisting. my recruiter says that I will be able to qualify for either of them. My question is can anyone please tell me what the jobs are like and what kind of job I can get in the civilian world with knowledge experience and the education that the Army will give me? I have a wife and kids and Im just wondering which job I will benifit the most from. which one of the positions has a higher rate of employment in the civilian world. any thoughts or suggestions would help. anythin

Alqeda has chopped off heads of Americans and civilians and bombed civilians (intentionally). The Geneva Convention was intended for rules of engagement for "uniformed soldiers" and did not even protect spies. Why would we extend these rules to those who do not qualify by deffinition nor would they follow these rules even if we did? I know a big deal is being made of McCain breaking ranks with Republicans, but where do the democrats stand on this? I just think this is very silly. We are getting to the point that we will catch bin Laden and have to release him because they forgot to "Marandise" him.

Obviously France has been invaded many times, but in the 21st century, do you think it would still be pretty easy?

This is the current list of Enemies that the US has according to Bush:

N. Korea (axis of evil)
Iran (axis of evil)
(notice that these two seem extremely interested in nuclear weapons all of a sudden)

With us or against us doctrine (if you harbor terrorist, we will get you too):

Syria (harboring terrorist)
Indonesia (harboring terrorist)

Allies that could become enemies:
Afghanistan (resurgence of Taliban)
Pakistan (most likely OBL hiding place and have a "treaty" with terrorist.

So here's the question, which one do we want to attack next? And who else should we add to the list? This is a serious question by the way. I'm just wondering how many countries we can take down before the other minor world powers start considering us a threat to their own security?

Syria (harboring terrorist)

THE FINAL
INSPECTION
The Marine stood and faced God,

Which must always come to pass.

He hoped his shoes were shining,

Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, Marine,

How shall I deal with you?

Have you always turned the other cheek?

To My Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,

"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.

Because those of us who carry guns,

Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,

And at times my talk was tough.

And sometimes I've been violent,

Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,

That wasn't mine to keep...

Though I worked a lot of overtime,

When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,

Though at times I shook with fear.

And sometimes, God, forgive me,

I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,

Among the people here.

They never wanted me around,

Except to calm their fears

If you've a place for me here, Lord,

It needn't be so grand.

I never expected or had too much,

But if you don't, I'll understand.

There was a silence all around the throne,

Where the saints had often trod.

As the Marine waited quietly,

For the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, you Marine,

You've borne your burdens well.

Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,

You've done your time in Hell."

It's the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us the freedom of the press.

It's the Soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us the freedom of speech.

It's the Soldier, not the politicians
That ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

It's the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag.

will I be denied an opportunity as MOS 31s (satalite operator) position because my credit is not the best? there is a 9000 dollar bonus for signing up, and I am qualified for 7000 dollar bonus because of the education that I have. cant they consider me for the position if I use all of my bonus money on paying my dept. I mean my debt is probably less than 3000 dollars. what else do they look for when checking to see if i am capable of having a secret clearance? Most of my debt is due to my student loans, I am going to have the student loan repayment program in which the Army will take care of. my SL is almost 50000. other than that, I probably have about 3-5000 in debt.

I have been doing a lot of research on Army jobs, I have over 90 credit hours and was considering the 15q (air traffic controller) mos, but that MOS does not include the student loan repayment. I thought that 31s most suits the education that i have (i have an AS in telecom and 3 credits shy of a BS in IT) I was wondering if anyone could possibly give me any information about MOS 31s. also, i dont have the best of credit, so will they deny me the position, because it requires a secret clearance. Also, what civilian jobs will I be able to get after having experience with in that MOS?
