The military is one of the best kept secrets for getting a good job. It was the last thing I wanted to do as the draft was on and if I did not stay in college would have been drafted and sent to Korea. I finished college and then served in Korea, Germany, and Viet Nam. The combat sounds really bad in the news, but when you are there you soon learn that most major cities in the good old USA are more dangerous. I stayed in 20 years, retired at 42 and have never had to work again. I never really had a job because I enjoyed what I was doing more than you will ever know. You will never have a job if you can learn to make it fun. Have traveled all over the world many times and learned how to do almost anything. Don't miss the chance to serve yourself and your country.

It sure is, they started taking over-40 prior service, back in '05, and raised the max entry age to 42, if qualified (Army).

Dream on. All branches of the military are meeting their recruiting goals. Your skinny hide is safe for another day thanks to men and women better than you.
