Instead of always being on the defense, shouldn't we be more on the offense? We'd be the pursuers instead of the pursuees.

Their pay is a joke and the healthcare services for veterans is a joke.........so is this how we in the US support our troops? Buying some magnets and a flag while the troops have to struggle to pay bills and get less than the best medical coverage?

They're giving me a thirty day notice and I don't have much time left, nor do I have much money, to get a new place. If I use Army Emergency relief it's going to put me in the hole for the next month so I'll be dead broke either month. I'm getting out of the Army soon and I have an outrageous Star card payment over my head as well, with a truck payment that's eating me up that's why I'm selling the truck. Any advice?

The Japanese had Samurai swords and were highly skilled with them as well as with many styles of fighting. And the Chinese had many differenct types of weapon... such as nunchucks, shinais, sais, swords, long staff, escrima, short staff, et cetera.
Yet the Greeks on the other hand, had fire that could not be put out with water, and the Romans had catapults - like those in the film "Kingdom of Heaven" - and sling-shots and so on. Both the Romans and Greeks may have had more power than the Asians, but it does not necessarily mean they were more advanced.
So which were more advanced - for their time, in arsenal and strategies, et cetera - ?

Pentagon moves to increase U.S. troop levels in Iraq By Will Dunham

WASHINGTON - The U.S. military is delaying the departure of thousands of soldiers from Iraq while speeding the arrival of thousands more as a way to keep more troops on the ground to handle unrelenting violence, U.S. officials said on Monday.

The United States, in a bid to stem a rise in sectarian violence between Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims that has heightened concern over civil war, has increased its troop count in the past two months to the current level of 142,000 and more to come.

A brigade of roughly 3,800 soldiers from the Army's 1st Armored Division, based in Germany, that was due to have left Iraq in January is being held in place for a little under two months, said defense officials who asked not to be named because the decision has not been formally announced.

These soldiers, serving in the volatile area of Iraq are needed. However, the crying has started. The troops wanted to go home.

Would you accept to invade a country knowing this is just to prevent China from developing too fast for example?

that you would bomb them back to the stone age if they did not support the war. come on now be honest. I met guys from Goodyear in the States comming up to the company I worked for saying the muslims smell like pork because they are all burning. Be honest - I know you guys like to see people crushed and humiliated -- all the time - all the time you do it. I've been attacked in other countries because the people thought i was american with the canadian accent I have it sound the same. I have to wear my flag for protection. Be honest those of you who are proud

We (in U.S.) can't see a fraction of whats going on in Iraq - thanks to the right-wing owned media -
We don't see the families or coffins or hear stories, even from an unrecognizable distance - because the Neo's want to keep the war game going without a bunch of upset jibber-jabber comeing from "we the people" - "out of site, out of mind"

Radio and TV dominate with right-wing owned and controlled coverage- wht comes out in America is freaky to the rest of world who gets the un-abridged clear picture of the whole story -

disagree? look at the facts, please post a list of all the "liberal" broadcast media compared to a list of "conservative" broadcast media - it's close to 350 (con) to 1(lib) fair and equal reporting?
...doesn't look like it -

Also, what side were they on: Allies or Axis?
Also, are they still alive?
Ex:
One of my grandfathers was the rear gunner of a TBF Avenger, the other was a flak gunner on a troopship. Both Allies, both deceased.
