Yeah, its definetly a incentive, I mean thats the whole reason I joined the army....What the??? I'm just trying to figure out what in the world would make you think that could ever be some sort of incentive. The only thing that is supposed to do is to inform people of whats going on, to make them aware of what sort of sh*t happens before they make a decision. I'm glad that something like this has come out, it's something us women in the military put up with and its far from fair, these @ssholes just get a slap on the hand before they're let back out to do it again.

I can write a story to reflect the same facts with a different outcome. Having been involved in the investigation of many accusations, I found less than 3% to be against regulation. Remember, people make accusations all the time. In this situation, many people make claims because they are scared to go to boot camp. In your article, they have to go back to 1998 to make the story more trashy than it should be. That's because 1998 had a large amount of unfounded accusations that they needed to justify the story. Do you see anywhere that it lists confirmed reports or adjudicated findings? That's because the number is so low that it would not get the attention they wanted. Nice post though.

How is that supposed to be an incentive?
You must understand that in a sexualized society, a military with both men and women will have problems, especially with more than 1 million people employed as military. Some of them are going to screw up. It's a problem that any employer of more than 1 million men AND women is going to face. Don't let a few bad ones ruin everyone else.

They would find the same harassment charges on a college campus. I know there is some, but I'm not believing most of them. I would also like to see what the study constituted as harassment.

All I had to look at was the first web page you posted and was instantly reminded thats the reason many don't join up. It's because of jackasses like that recruiter.

Wow! I can't believe that! I wonder if there are any female recruiters groping men. I would definitely join. :-)

What's your point?
They are getting punished.
You'll find people who abuse their trust and power anywhere you go. Look at the Catholic church...
