Should the Americans be ashamed of how they sat back and did nothing knowing full well that the holocaust was happening during World War 2, rather than claiming they were our saviours by joining in at the end when they realised they were in danger after all?

I met many war supporters back in 1969 and where did it get them? They got a losing war in 1975 just like Iraq will end up. A losing war. Get ready to eat crow war supporters.

My little brother is a marine reserve from an artillary unit in Pennsylvania, some have speculated that he hasn't been deployed (till now) because of the lesser support for the war in PA... (prior to the 2004 elections) there were four units? of marines that hadn't been deployed to Iraq yet, 2 in PA and 2 in Ohio, both swing states.... seems curious to me... or is it just chance?

Wouldn't it be a good idea to fill mortar shells with weed (canabis) smoke? When it exploded, everyone would get happy and all be friends and make daisy chains.....then they would happily give Bush all the oil he wants in exchange for Pringles......

Or viagra gas and turn 'em all gay......

Yesterday I was sitting on a beach near my Gold Coast home when two F111's flew past a couple hundred metres out to sea and at treetop level, doing I guess, just below mach1. You could hear them coming, and I knew immediately, this is not a passenger aircraft. There is no more awesome looking plane and apparently, nothing in the inventory of the world's military that can adequately replace it, especially with its unique combination of long range and massive firepower. Try the following site about information regarding potential upgrades to the F111.

The quote goes on to say because the French lost. I saw only one reference to it online under a "We Were Soldiers" blog. Otherwise it was mentioned in a recent article in the International Herald Tribune article without a definitive source. Thanks...

hypothetical situation in reference to the army or marines: if i went into either the army or marines as a private or private first class, what MOS would be the best for advancement? I was thinking it would be the infantry in either branch. does anyone know if this is true or what other MOS would be better for advancement. i would at least like to work my way up to high ranking NCO or even get a battlefield commision and become an officer. thanks.

India and Pakistan both are making nuclear technology for making weapons. US know this better. India is making nuclear its nuclear weapons bacause it has to compete with China. Pakistan ia making nuclear weapons because it has to cmpete with India as both has conflict on kashmir and faught 3 wars.
Now look at the another angle:
Pakistan backed US in Afghanistan war against USSR and now Osama. India was in the USSR block during cold war.
Now USA contributing India in its nuclear program and opposing Pakistan's nuclear program.
WHY THIS UNJUST???????????????????

Please go to the web site www.letssaythanks.com . You can pick
out a thank you card and the Xerox Corporation will print it and it will be
sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out
who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services. It is
FREE and it only takes a second. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers
received a bunch of these?

We are stationed in the states, we were in Japan. We can't stand our new base, it is NOT family friendly, the schools are horrible !! Where our base is located is right next to an extremely bad neighborhood, so bad in fact there are parts that are actually forbidden for us to go into. My spouse and I are seriously considering me going to my hometown and living there. We just don't understand how this will affect us once he gets new orders and like Tri Care. Can I use another bases hospital, my hometown is 30 mins. drive from Tinker, could we use that hospital? Also his squadron for this base is being taken out of the AEF cycle, and by next summer all military positions will be contracted to civilians. When he gets the new orders will they move us from my place of residence? (in Ok.) Or from the base he is at ? That is one of the major worries for us. Have any of you done this and financially speaking were you able to swing it ??

The "terrorists" that the U.S. is "dealing" with right know are spread out all over the world. Can invading a few countries that may have some of these terrorists really help. I believe that the way the GOP is handling these wars is only creating more terrorists and draining away the soul of America. How can we stop these useless wars?

My 18 year-old son is totally lost. He only has 18 out of 40 necessary credits to graduate high school. He spoke with a Marine recruiter who has guaranteed him that he will graduate with his class in May 2007 - if he signs-up with the Marines. Does anyone know if the Navy, Army, etc would guarantee anything like this. And ... I'm so scared that he'll join and be scared and want to come home - he really really needs discipline - but I'm scared for him. Any suggestions.

Thanks!
