I went into the military in 1969. I stayed until May 1975 just in time to see the USA cut and run from Vietnam. In 1969 my USA Government told me we would win. We would endure. But we lost the war in Vietnam on 30th April 1975. So why did my Government/Military lie to me?

Regardless of which political party controls the house or senate.
The Republicans will run on 'stay the course' and the Democrats will be on all sides of the issue, but it doesn't matter.

Right after the elections, a planned withdrawl will commence. We have to get out, it's eating the guts of the Military which won't put up with it much longer. Soldiers on their third or fourth tours -- it can't be sustained.
The rest of the world is sick of our crap too -- But Bush is too dense to know that.

If we get out quickly, the Repukes can go into damage control mode to try and get the sheep to forget in time for '08 elections. Focus on other things, like denying *homosexuals* equal rights or proposing constitutional amendments to protect the flag. As gas rises to $5, $6 per gallon and beyond, less and less of the sheep will buy the crap Bush is putting out. Will it be fun to see Bush go down in defeat? Will the warmongers cry?

Everyone says support the troops. Why dont they teach them how to support themselves in basic. I mean all these wash out loosers join the army, because they have nowhere to go. Then come back and sleep on the streets, use drugs, and act like they deserve our respect becuase they got bossed arroung and conditioned to be blind followers. Why support this?

And don't respond by saying he was a drunk or a bad president. Bottom line is he saved your country. Most people don't even know that his tomb is in NY. The tomb isn't visited often.

Somebody told me that I can apply for a healthcare program through the VA but I've been out of the military for over 2 years. I didn't get discharged with a disability but I'm an Iraq War veteran. Do I qualify for the program and how good is it? Would I be better off with a private insurance? I've heard not so great stuff about the VA. Can you provide a link that would let me know price, coverage, etc...?

Im in the Army and have always been slightly depressed but never been diagnosed because I keep it to myself. But when I am with my husband it is a different story. With him I am able to express how sad I always am but I also get mood swings when with him, and verbally and physically abusive with him. I've punched, hit, and thrown things at him several times.I pick a fight for anything. The thing is, I am ONLY this way with him. At work I am always quiet and I rarely talk- I keep feelings to myself. I have concentration problems and dificulty interacting with people though.I am also a slight hypochondriac (a little obsessed with diseases) and I take pills for any little sympthom, and my husband hates this. The Army doesnt know my problems are more serious and I dont want to get medically discharged because I only have a few months left to ETS. But my marriage is about to be destroyed because of all the abuse. How can I get counseling without getting discharged? I am currently in Iraq BTW.

Is it true that after the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombings, USA was so embarrased of its extreme military action, that USA told Japan that it will always guarantee Japans safety in case of any future wars between Japan and any other country? In other words, does Japan have a "lifetime insurance" from USA? If so, are there any websites that explain this? Thanks.
