I believe many of the detainees are questioned using mainly mental tactics to determine the validity of their answers. This may deteriorate or accelerate into "discomfort" techniques which include things such as sleep deprivation, putting them in physical positions which are uncomfortable but not life threatening and playing loud music or disturbing video.

The rule of thumb we used during my tour in Iraq was that we could use any technique that the US Supreme Court considers lawful for the police to use.

We also had other, more specific guidance regarding interrogation techniques that must remain classified so the enemy cannot train their people to defeat them.

They should wrap them in beggin strips and let pit bulls go at it until the scream the truth.

I did hear that for Sadaam they played Eminem real loud all day and night. Personally, I would love that, if I ever get tried for high treason and they want any information, they better come up with something better.
