Luckily for the Reps, they have the lamest party of all as their opponents. If the Dems had any less brains, their ears would snap together.
No, the Reps will continue to hold Congress, because the alternative is worse. And people know that.
As for the Vietnam talk, let me point out that comparing Iraq to Vietnam is like waving a sign saying, "I'm as smart as a box of hair!" It shows a brutal ignorance of history and world events.
As for the rest of the world, no offense to them, but Fk their opinion of us - it has no value whether they love us or hate us. Should our president be obsessed about Ghanians and Laotians loving us? Is that more important that doing what is right for America and Americans?
Regarding other legislative actions, I guess unlike Dems who have trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time, Reps can work on many different agenda initiatives simultaneously. Even more reason to keep them in power!
Gas prices - did you know that petroleum prices are based on international commodity markets and worldwide demand, not on who's president? [insert reprise of 'box of hair' comment].
With you people as the opposition, we cannot be defeated.

This will not end up like Vietnam, because in Vietnam we were fighting the North Vietnamese Army, w/ support from the Soviet Union, China, and the Viet Cong. The insurgency doesnt have near the Heart or Determination that the NVA had in Vietnam. They were bound by National Pride and Sovernity. The insuregents are mostly foreign and they are only bound by Religion which doesnt give you Brand New Mig 29s and AK101s. Without support from a Superpower they will eventually fall apart. We should be more worried about Japan saying they want to launch a premtive strike on North Korea which is part of an old Cold War Soviet realtionship

First - the Veterans have given you the right to say such completely unpatriotic crap about them. The Constitution did not have the power to keep Hitler & other countries out of our country.
It was the Veterans & our current Soldiers. Shame on you - you are ungrateful for the sacrifices many families made for your freedom.
2nd - Where do you buy gas for $5 or $6 dollars a gallon - yeah England not the USA.
3rd- Win or lose - the Republicans have stood with their beliefs. Something the Liberal Democrats would not know how to do. You have to know what your beliefs are to stand with them.
I AM AN AMERICAN & PROUD TO BE AMERICAN. I support our military & the President's choices as only he knows the secret military reasons for his choices. I do not care what coward countries or people think about our choices. After spending weeks on Military Bases, they support our President & defending Iraq. My son is a Ranger & Lt. in Army & he is willing to risk his life to defend Iraq. He is not only a college graduate but was a honor graduate. I support their choices & would never be a Micheal Moore wanna be like you.

i imagine there is a few exaggeration the following! convinced that's a huge disgrace yet actually no longer as undesirable as Vietnam. The veterans should be an difficulty yet again no longer as undesirable. there is not any agent orange, no napalm etc. in this warfare. Economically speaking the veterans should be appeared after by the authorities. The decision is not any the position close to of the decision after Vietnam. 50.000 and extra lost, allot of POW injured and crippled and for this reason vets were a good purchase extra. Iraq is not any way close to bringing one of those heavy toll. Loyd Johnson in 1969 became maximum in all probability going to be reelected yet he not in any respect quite needed the warfare and resigned. Nixon became a Watergate scandal sufferer. previous to all this Kennedy became shot and did not stay to ascertain or be an element of the actually escalation of the Vietnam warfare. The Bush prolonged relations, father and son practice served two times, in entire, for 8 years. i wager there is not any actual defeat lower than the mild of the data for the forged human beings. yet in case you meant that they received't be re-elected and that is defeat. convinced, i imagine you're excellent, Bush does no longer look to have a lot of a threat.

Thank goodness Bush continues to hold the line. If all the bleeding-heart democrats and leftists get their way, and force a pull out of Iraq, that WILL lead to another Vietnam. Remember it wasn't the US Military that lost the Vietnam war it was the American Government because they caved to the paccifist mindset. If the US doesn't stop these radical's who will?
Forget Iraq, pull the rest of the troops together and get them into North Korea and Iran ASAP, the whole world will live a better life the sooner we do it!

I dont know about the fate of the Republicans but I do know that this war in Iraq is becoming a stalemate and more and more US soldiers are getting killed everyday, even as I type. I dont know why the US went to war in the first place but its clear to me that it was all to do with a hidden agenda which wasnt WMD or Saddam having so called ties with Al-Qaeda. This is all a bunch of c**p and we all know it !. If the troops dont get out soon this will end up as another Vietnam!!.
Your US President is one thick mick! He still doesnt realise how he is being used and tricked by his own close aids and we all know who these guys are!?.
Either that or he damn well knows what hes doing.
Either way, its one sad and sick scenario!

your statements ring many truths, dont be surprised if oil reaches the highest point just before the elections, and suddenly the prices drop. You will see the Bush "plan". This will be the payback to Bush from the oil companies for the big profits the oil companies are enjoying. As for this "war on Terror" it is a war being fought with terror, as americans get more brainwashed about the terrors we face, bush and his crew build more hatred accross the globe, builng terror. Are Americans that stupit to think that a war on terror can be won? not so, if the hatred here in america between churches, government, citizens, dems, repubes, gays, streight, poor, rich, black ,white, etc cant be fixed how the hell are we going to ftell onther countries to get thei act together? terror starts with all of us against each other here in our homes.

I do think they will lose seats in both houses in the federal government, but will still control both houses.
I take issue with you saying the military lost the war in Vietnam. American soldiers won ever major engagement with Charlie. Tet of 1968 was said to be the turning point, and politically it was, but militarily speaking the VC got their asses wiped.
It was the American people, through their elected reps, that ended US involvement.
You must have a glass stomach, you got your head so far up your *** you would need one to see out.

Not all of us would cry. I'd love to see Lieberman in the White House. He's no coward, but he has the values otherwise that I do. As a Democrat, he's my front runner.
I argue for the war because I know what Islam has planned for us having come from a formally Islamic family.

We were not defeated in Vietnam. We signed the Paris Peace accords in 1973 after we forced Hanoi to the barganing table through overwelming airpower. Next, No the Dems will not win. If they can't win Duke Cunninghams seat, they can't win anything.
And lastly we are sick of your crap. But your too dense to know that.
