My partner and i have just brought our 1st house. We love the street and the area but 2 months after buying our house our neighbours brought a caravan and have put there tv,computer, dvd ,cd player out there as there little entertainment area which is right near our bedroom window. I have told the boys mother that his music is loud and she said she would get him to turn it down but didnt so i got my partner to go over one noisy night and tell the boy to turn it down so he did for a little while. My partner and i both work at 5 am and somtimes have a sleep in the arvo but we cant even do that because of his music. I also found out that his doing drugs in there as well. I dont know what to do because if i dob them into the police i know that he will knew it was us that dobed them in and things might turn narsty. And im worried because his in year 12 this year and next year when he finishes school he will be home on the dole doing nothing all day and night. Please anyone out there help us.

....for protection? Once I went to school (uni) and some guy parked behind my car and stared at me. So I was concerned and then I threw a bat in the backseat in case he showed up again. It's still in the backseat. Should I leave it there, get pepper spray or what? Is it some kind of offense to have the bat back there "just in case?" I'm a law-abiding citizen but I go to school at night and feel safer knowing I have it. I don't have a cell phone.

I got a ticket for doing a rolling stop. how much do these tickets run for and how much does the insurance usually go up by on a clean record?

the officer marked some wrong info on the ticket. e.g. registered owner or lessee marked "same as driver" which is false. can i argue in court and say that the officer is incompetent? if i lose, how big are the court fees in california if any?

I have worked in a courthouse, where as a "normal" person you get to interact with police officers, and they are , mostly the same as all of us, they try and do the best job they can, give them a break!!!!!!!

I was standing outside of a Wal Mart and saw five or six cops harrassing some african american kids,so i wanted a shot of all the cops grouped around this individual. One of the officers saw me take the pic, looked at my camera and said there was a juvenile in the pic, even though the pics were so blurry you couldn't make out what was what and the cop saw this,i even offered to delete the two i had took. The officer told me i needed to talk to the chief of police to get the camera back tomorrow, that's if they will even let me have it back they stated.

Is this a legal action for the police??

My girlfriend was involved in a accident yesterday and thank god it turned out okay for the most part with insurance handling damages. The officer issued my girlfriend a citation for failure to control her speed because she had hit the truck in front of her because two big rigs had pulled from a complete stop into the right lane and were crawling on the highway. I am asking if she can contest this citation with any success in a court. The officer I believe was incompetent because he did not have the information of the accident and arrived way after the fire truck and ambulance had left the scene. There were no witnesses to the accident and claimed that by her account he based the citation off of. I am speculating the fact that the scene of the accident was not preserved in the original location, there were no witnesses, and the person who lost a tail light also agreed this was a accident. Am i right that this citation can be contested?

I have already contacted our cell phone provider and they can not help. They suggested filing a report; but to whom do I do that with -- the local police, the constables, the FBI -- there are so many agencies to deal with. I want to get in touch with the correct one. We believe the person calling is an estranged family member. Does this make it more difficult to stop?

Does anyone have any idea what will happen to her. There was a purse stolen in school and it had store gift cards in it. My daughter had a gift card from the same store in her pocket. The resource officer says this is enough to charge her with. The child produced a receipt for her card but now the resource officer has misplaced the card. The purse was never recovered and my daughter swears she did not take it. When asked about where she got her card she said her biological mother gave her it and when I asked her she said that she did. I am so worried she has never been in trouble with the law but does get in trouble at school

For example, the lawyer or prosecutor says "Objection!" If the judge doesn't like the objection, then he/she says Objection denied, right? So what if he/she thinks it is more reasonable? Then you would call that objection...approved?
