Nobody should be hanged. Killing bad people isn't necessary now that we have the means to lock them away from the public. Executions only teach that's it's ok to kill someone if you've got a really good reason.. Maybe the person you are referring to thought they had a good reason too?

I am not against clemency plea, But the point i wish to emphasize is that Afzal has attacked our parliament. I would have given it a second thought if it was just a terrorist attak anywhere else, but attacking the parliament was equal to attaking the stake of the nation. Being a muslim I do not have any sympathy for any body of Afzal's credentials. I am proud of being a muslim as much as I am proud of being an Indian. I would certainly back the decision for sarabjit's clemency rather than Afzal's. It is time that people know that India can put forward the right cheek if someone slaps on the left one, BUT NOT ALL THE TIME. I would not even associate Afzal with the Islamic Religion as Being faithful to the motherland is what it preaches. I do not have any personal grudges against him but when the stakes are high the decisions need to be hardened. My decision would be the same even if it was my real brother. Nation comes first. Jai Hind.

Think not of Afzal, think of the people who have lost loved ones, what penalty should we give them.

What is the meaning of LAW, if its just a word, then why do you need police, courts etc.

What is the message that you want to send to terrorists, India has no law, no punishment for killers, but punishment only for people who lost loved ones.

It is well said, IF YOU CANNOT GIVE LIFE, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TAKE ONE.

Rest is upto politicians and their Vote banks

i m ambiguous in this regard.
other day i had read that according to UN Charte Act-Every person has a right to live.

but should v call him a person.
its an animal, worse than animal with no brains who spark terrorism.
i m not pointing 2 islamism as most of the people against terrorism do.
if a person tries to snatch away that right from some1, his right should also b snatched away.

if i kill u, i m snatching ur freedom 2 live, and so shall b with me.

not only killing, but also not letting other 1 live in harmony peace and joy is also a contributor 2 the violation to right 2 live.

Mr.V, you forget that the subject does no longer have been solved completely.a sparkling batch of deadbeats might have taken value even till now the obsequies would have been achieved on the precious(?) departed leaders,of direction made up of the relatives of the lifeless deadbeats. As you rightly stated ,the rustic might have lost many quite experienced protection workers which could have been a poor waste. The reborn Raj after the interment of the previous one. Ms.Maitree,i think of you obtain the spelling incorrect.it might have been Janpath and not Ganpath.additionally i'm no longer too beneficial that the variety is right the two.

Supreme Court of India has held that capital punishment should be given in the rarest of the rarest cases. He has been convicted in the case for attacking the parliament of India. It is high treason. He has been convicted by all the courts, up to the Supreme court of India. He has chosen not to plead for mercy. Only his relations have appealed for clemency of the President. If you go by their interview, they say that they have been denied justice. They are asking for mercy or leniency. Does this warrant a soft approach? All these worthy ladies who plead for him should be prepared to go gallows, along with this criminal.

The guilty should be punished-so he has committed a seroius crime killing and wounding many-which can't go unheeded. Or many others will follow his steps-so he should punished. Since the nature of crime is so serious-the punishment as per law demands should be met with.

Yes, he should be hanged! This muslim appeasement has gone too damn far. What kind of message are we trying to send here? That it is okay to attack us and kill two cops who were on duty protecting national interests. His act of terrorism should be considered treason and there is ony one penalty for that- death. What mercy plea, they are using the system, he trained in pakistan, how can you be sure he'd not go right back to terrorism?
