I know you can use the hands-free device, but I keep hearing rumors that it's illegal to talk on the actual cell phone while driving, at least in California. Any comments appreciated.

Some prisons appear to be nicer than dorm rooms. Others seem like Hell on earth. Does soddomy really occur that often in prisons? I was watching court tv and the women's prison seemed like a fun place to live as well as a men's prison featured on a&E. How can I get sent to one of these nicer prisons? I want to have my own cell and a television. Anyone reading this from prison please get back to me. I have never done anything illegal before. So i will need advice on what kind of offense will land me in the institute I want.

Had an accident with my vehicle and was wrote off.Of course did not have ins on it..after the accident..I was paid out for it and stored it at a freinds yard.Meanwhile..he passed away...he was renting lot./house at the time, was winter..couldn't move it..checked it every couple of weeks..realized by freind of mine driving by..it was gone....contacted local RCMP..made report...found out who towed/and owner's of lot.were....I know them personaly..had two of them..mechanics..look at it previously..when I was making plans to sell it for part etc...they were the ones who also towed and they are freinds of people who own lot where vehicle was stored....Please help me...can I still sue..I do not have money for lawyer costs..and not any legal knowledge....chicken ..(partially)....My vehicle had front passenger damage/hoodcrumpled/not sure if frame was bent..was 95s10..good shape low mileage and still worth quite alot..any feedback much appreciated....elated time perhaps may be factor....HELP..

I'm sick and tired of standing in line getting searched at places like Costo and Best Buy just for being a customer. Can I legally just walk past them and ignore them? I mean, I paid for the items already and didn't do anything illegal, so I would imagine the search is voluntary. For that matter, can they do anything when those stupid alarms go off and you just keep going? Nine times out of 10 it's a false alarm so I would think that's hardly justification for an illegal search when they have no other evidence. Is there any legal course of action to follow if you're detained and searched even though you did nothing wrong? I've never seen a sign outside the door of a store saying you're subject to a search at the store's discression. Not even the police can do that.

I was stopped by a police patrol car hiding behind some bushes. I was accidentally going 10 miles over the speed limit, however my ticket looks like I was going 30 miles over.....then at the same stop I rec'd a ticket for expired registration (I fixed that!), then no front license plate (how my car came!) and then the rear license plate the officer said was obscured by the dealer's name.

My main question is this: On this very same ticket, it lists 2 totally separate addresses for the offenses. My speeding ticket has its address on one street, all other "offenses" are listed on a totally differnt street.

I always heard that if there is a discrepancy like this or any other "error" made by the policeman, then the entire ticket can be thrown out.

Does anyone know about this law, (I live in Texas) and if so, how do I go about diputing it in court. I must appear in court tomorrow, but I can ask for a trial by judge. HELP!!!

My son was just sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections and I have so many questions. I wish I knew someplace to ask my questions and talk to others who have children inside prison. It's so hard to get information from the prison system and it's very confusing. Do you know anyplace I can go for answers and some support from others, especially those with family in IDOC. I don't even know where to begin. Please help me.
