The papers are court papers which direct you to take a specific action. When you are "served" the papers, a record is made that you have in fact received them, so you are legally responsible for obeying the legal instructions within.

It means they give you legal papers. It's not like an arrest. It's quite common for divorces or subpoenas.

it means u been served...for court duty(i doubt it) or u have to testify in court or something depending on the case
