White collar crimes (non violent felonies like interstate wire fraud etc...) can land you at Club Fed, but you don't want to land in a State Prison or a State Jail (at least, not in Texas). The County Jail in Dallas, Tx is no picnic either, we take a LOT of arrestees there. TV is usually nothing like real life, but prison is nothing like the real world. Stay out, or you just might get to be someone's b****.
I'm not sure what you are thinking, but in my experience with over 20 years in law enforcement, any type of penal institution should be avoided at any cost.

well its all luck on wat prison u go to. u cant put a request in for ur own place. my stepdad works in a prison... It all depends on wat prison u are going to. Depends on ur sentence. If they sentence u to cell life in jail u sit inside prison ur whole life and if ur not on a serious d block, or in confinement u go outside abt. one or twice a day. If u get the working life in jail. this means u work everyday, by helping the community...But this is only for certain criminals that are more trusted.... well if u want a nice prison. good job lookin. most are real ugly wih nothing in them... and ya rape happens now nd then in the showers... but if u get a cell with one of the kind of ppl who do it, then every nite prolly. depending on their mood. nd if u scream itll jus get worse....

On the subject of rape-isn't rape-rape? No matter where it takes place and on whom it is taken place against? It seems to me it should be as illegal in prison as it is out in our society.
Rape represents having sex against the will of another human being.

Angola in Louisiana is one of the newest and nicest around. I would recommend that if you want to do some time at Angola go to Louisiana and expose yourself to a police officer on duty.
When he arrest you, just pee on him and this will give you a taste of incarceration at its best. Small offense short stint and you'll want to do it again and again.
Good luck ;0)

If you're a hard core criminal, you can look forward to bending over in a state prison. If you're a petty thief or white collar criminal, you're out of luck I guess...
