The only way you may mail money for inmate funds is to mail a money order (U.S. Postal Service only) to the inmate. He./she will be allowed to endorse the money order and then it will be deposited into the inmate's funds.

If you know someone local they can bring cash (EXACT CHANGE ONLY) to the jail. The 4th Avenue Jail is located at 4th
Avenue (of course) and Madison. It is open 24 hours a day.

Hope this helps. If not call jail information at (602) 876-0322 for more information or to get an inmates location.

I think you can go in an put money on their books but not sure. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Joe Arpaio are well known for a lot of things - Tent City, pink underwear, green bologna, and chain gangs are just a few. But not sure about money on the books....

I don't know about there but here in Ohio it must be in a money order if your sending it in. However some of our jails will take cash if you bring it up to them but the prisons you have to send money orders NOT cash.

In California it even has to be Postal money order only and you can only put it on their account for the prison commissary. My friends brother also asks for a lot of postage stamps.. I think they're traded like currency since money is not allowed.

Sherriff Arpio will not allow it. The Prisoners are just that, PRISONERS. The morons were dumb enough to get there , let them pay for the crime by doing Arpio Time.
