As long as greed and personal agendas are involved, most likely it will never stop.
Authorities are probably getting pay-offs to look the other way.

Greetings! The "desirable criminal gang ever"????? Hmmm.....How approximately W and his conflict cupboard? (basically kidding, neocons...lower back off with the flames and be good boys and girls) heavily, i do no longer think of you need to use the be conscious "desirable". words like "infamous" or "infamous" spring to strategies, yet i do no longer think of you may say "desirable" in this question. of those you reported, probable the Sicilian Mafia is the main infamous criminal company the regulation enforcement community has ever considered. little question, they observed their ability skyrocket for the period of the prohibition era and that they carried properly into the late 1980's. With such assorted worldwide police companies after them and additionally the different ethic criminal aspects who've copied the Mafia to apply of their very own cultural bases, the Cicilian mob has lost great ability. One criminal group which you probably did no longer point out is the south American Cocaine cartel. they also have a fierce business enterprise. yet another i could desire to show is the Taliban in Afghanistan. That pesky group basically won't go away and retains our military there tied up some thing fierce. wish this facilitates. Take care.

The best any country can do is to ensure the police and judiciary remain impartial and have the resources to tackle orgainised crime.

The problems is global not just Russia. A respcted police force and judiciary is the only chance to keep a lid on it.

Resources will have to evolve as the nature of the organised crime evolves.

I have been to Russia on a business trip in connection with web -based business and was shocked with the people who attended from the eastern bloc countries.
I found out that so-called respectable businessmen/women were responsible for most of the illegal porn sites in the Internet.
They see any web based business as a link for their dodgy dealing and are always looking for seemingly legit Internet business as an avenue for their criminal ideals.
These people we met (not all) were well connected to high level government figures so were immune from prosecution, and when we queried this were told not to delve too deeply.
The Russian government as a whole seem to have the principle of as long as they all earn big bucks who cares and if someone dies that's tough luck.
The banker you mentioned was someone who had the guts to say enough was enough and you saw what happened to him.
I am sorry to say that is the way it is in most eastern countries and we are about to let these morons become part of our community in the eu.
We actually were there re-internet security services.

I think not only in Russia, we can see organized crimes in every country, but in Russia they are more organized becoz of the retired KGB agents, policemen and soldiers being mafia now. If Russian Govn continues not to pay more retirement bonus to them, its unavoidable for the retired officers to go towards the bad jobs.

We have the same problems in Turkey.

We've had that problem for over 100 years. It's not going away but if you kill enough of them the problem does get smaller.
